Argumentative Essay: The Murder Of Jonbenet Ramsey
In the early afternoon of December 26, 1996, John Ramsey found JonBenet lying dead in the basement strangled by a nylon cord and a garrote that was made from Patsy’s paint brush, wrists tied above her head, with a strip of duct tape over her mouth. Earlier that night, Burke and Jonbenet Ramsey were eating their favorite snack, pineapple and yogurt. Quarreling over Jonbenet stealing a piece of his late night treat, nine-year-old Burke took it out of hand and threw a flashlight at her head. The blow to the head knocked her unconscious, making him believe she was dead. Panicking, Burke called out to his parents to reveal what he had done. Stunned at the sight of their comatose daughter, Patsy and John chose to protect their family by making the

During an interview with Lester Holt, Burke Ramsey was acting very strangely. For example during the interview he stated,” I think she was taken very quietly.” I think Patsy Ramsey wrote the ransom note to shift the focus of the police investigation. Her father found her in the basement. She had a huge gaping hole in her head. Her blood stained her fuzzy clothes. The killer would have already known where the basement was because the house had a weird layout. In conclusion he had knowledge of or might be involved in JonBenet's murder. It's true that Burke wasn’t convicted of murder, but I still think he did it and that he should be in jail. I believe that there is enough evidence to prosecute the ramseys for the murder of their daughter JonBenet. I think the case should be reopened and investigated by a cold case unit. JonBenet deserves justice just like everyone else. They should not be able to get away with…

During the autopsy, “some sort of undigested fruit, thought to potentially be pineapple, was found in JonBenet’s stomach that had been consumed just a few hours before she died” (Syrdal). Pictures from the Ramsey household from the day before the murder show a bowl full of pineapple on the table, with Burke Ramsey’s fingerprints all over the bowl. Patsy and John claimed that Burke had been sleeping the entirety of the night of the murder. Also, more evidence surfaced that placed further suspicion on the Ramseys. The ransom note was written in the Ramsey house and after being analyzed it was discovered that it was indeed written by a woman. Finally, after Patsy had finished reporting the disappearance to 911 she accidentally stayed on the line for a couple seconds where she can be heard saying “help me Jesus” and “what did I do” (Syrdal). The Ramseys were never prosecuted due to lack of sufficient evidence, but there is still a huge “umbrella of suspicion” placed upon the whole family (JonBenet Ramsey Murder Fast…

I believe Patricia stuck JonBen’et and the father helped her cover the murder. Fourth, there were no mentions of signs that JonBenet struggled. This proves that the victim knew and trusted he attacker or attackers. The fifth piece of factual evidence is that the person who killed JonBen’et had access to enter and leave the homes since there were no signs of forced entry. The sixth piece of physical evidence is that the father left the home and returned to discover JonBen’et body in the basement covered with a blanket. He also relocated the body from the basement to the living room floor. The author Jenkins (2013) also highlight more key points to the case in the article entitled The Murder Case of JonBenet Ramsey. The coroner discovered pineapples in Jon bennet stomach and officers observed a bowl of pineapples on the sink of Ramsey’s…

JonBenet Ramsey was just 6 years old when she was found strangled in the basement of her home in Boulder, Colorado back in 1996. Investigators have been searching for her murderer for over 20 years. However, lots of evidence has been botched since the Boulder police department allowed the Ramsey’s friends and family members to enter and wander the crime scene. Therefore, evidence and theories remain scrambled but when closely examined, the events and the culprit of the crime are clear. Burke Ramsey, JonBenet’s older brother, killed the young pageant queen and was aided in the feigning innocence by his parents John and Patsey Ramsey.…

It could be an accident, the case was never solved because of the family was not providing enough cooperation, her murder could be origin of a fight or discussion and the things might got out of control. I think Burke Ramsey was upset because of the christmas presents, in the kitchen of the house there was a pineapple bowl unfinished, probably it was Burke’s bowl and JonBenet wanted a piece and they started fighting, he hurted her before and this time might hitted her so hard because of his anger, and called his parents and said that it was an accidents, that might be the reason…

JonBenét Patricia Ramsey (/ˌdʒɒnbəˈneɪ pəˈtrɪʃə ˈræmzi/; August 6, 1990 – December 25 or 26, 1996) was a six-year-old American beauty queen who was murdered in her family's home in Boulder, Colorado, on December 25, 1996. A lengthy ransom note was found in the house, and her father, John Ramsey, found the little girl's body in the basement of their house about eight hours after she was reported missing. She sustained a broken skull from a blow to the head and had been strangled; a garrote was found tied around her neck. The official cause of death, as reported by the autopsy, was "asphyxiation due to strangulation associated with craniocerebral trauma".[1] Time magazine reported that it was officially ruled a homicide.[2] The case generated…

Jonbenet Ramsey was killed in the basement of her own home. Investigators have come to the conclusion that Jon Benet was killed by a hit to the head by a flashlight. By inexperienced detectives her death was filed that she was strangled to death. The murder was disguised as if a different crime had been committed. The killer disguised it as if someone came in and tied her up and then decided to cover it up. investigators realized it was all a cover up to the actual way Jon Benet was killed. The crime was committed by someone inside the home. But because of investigators relying too much on DNA, there is no evidence that necessarily points to patsy, John, nor Burke.…

There are not many absolute truths in the world. Almost every point can be argued and justified. But if there is one truth universally recognized, one truth upon which societies the world over have been based on, it is that murder is wrong. The willful termination of a life is immoral. If we as a society accept that to be true, how then can we condone the death penalty? How is government sanctioned murder a moral option? The legal system is not fool proof, nothing man-made is. How then can we claim that an imperfect court of law, pervious to human error and persuasion, has the power to lay down the most perfectly irreversible solution of them all: death. Even after the appellate courts have been exhausted, it is possible for an innocent person to be convicted of a crime they did not do. If there is even that small possibility, how can we, in all good conscious, make it legal to put someone to…

Doing something that you don’t regret, but is an unlawful act is what I think of when I hear or see the word crime. Crimes happen every day with various reasons behind the action. Recently within the last few weeks a major crime happened. A camera man on live TV filmed himself killing his two coworkers. This was a shocking reality for everyone. Not knowing what someone is capable of doing is quite scary. In this particular case if people would have took more of an interest in what was happening before the shooting occurred then they would have seen hints that a violent event might occur within the future.…
