Argumentative Essay: The Dallas Cowboys Football Team
The Dallas Cowboys finished last year season with a 12-4 record. Almost coming out of Training Camp without any major injuries to a key player’s defensive back Orlando Scandrick tore his ACL/MCL last week. Scandrick is out for the season. Even though losing Scandrick is tough I still believe the Cowboys will be fine because they have depth at the defensive back position, and upgrading the pass rush which the defensive backs won’t have to cover wide-receivers for so long. With the additions of Greg Hardy, Byron Jones, Randy Gregory, Corey White, DeMarcus Lawrence developing his body into becoming a force at the left end, defensive position, and Tyrone Crawford is looking to have a Pro Bowl Caliber year the Cowboys finally have depth at the defensive …show more content…
The offense will be fine without him Joseph Randle and Darren McFadden will shut the doubters up by the middle or end of the season. Dez Bryant will continue to show why he’s the best wide-receiver in the NFL, Jason Witten will display why he’s still an elite tight end, Cole Beasley will attest why he just can’t be stopped when being covered one on one by opposing teams, Terrence Williams showcasing how he will make defenses respect him more this season by asserting himself as one of the best big-play receivers, the offensive of line dominating, and punishing defensive lineman continuing the debate on why they’re the best offensive lineman in the NFL, and last but not least Tony Romo continuing to prove why he’s a top 5 quarterback. For the first time in two years he didn’t have to have surgery on his back and if you saw how he played in the dress rehearsal game on last Saturday night you could tell he was already in mid-season form ready to lead this team to a Super Bowl. But the best thing the Cowboys did this off-season was keeping the continuity within the team by resigning Jason Garrett, Rod Marinelli, and Scott Linehan to long-term contract

When you think of the Cincinnati Bengals you probably think of all the arrests, busts, and bad managing that have taken place in the 90's. I'm telling you the Bengals are on the rise and have changed the ways of their troubled past back to the winning ways of the 80’s. The 1990's and early 2000's were compiled with poor drafts and miss judgment of character in the players they chose, but the past few years the Bengals have proven draft after draft they are stepping up their drafting game. The Bengals faced heavy criticism for filling the locker room with troubled young players. The Bengals were the centerpiece for jokes about players getting arrested and in trouble. For example Chris Henry the wide receiver that they drafted in the 3rd round, knowing that he had a troubled past that even led up to his college days at West Virginia. They unfortunately carried over to the NFL and he got into many bad situations with drug abuse and other situations. Henry did begin to finally turn his life around but sadly his life was cut short in an accident when he fell out of the bed of a moving truck. Henry was only 26. Since then the Bengals have really done a good job in the draft getting good players that have a clean background. Although the Bengals still have taken chances on players that are questionable Marvin Lewis has taken them under his wing and has mentored them and had really helped them turn their lives around, in example Adam Jones and Vontez Burfict. In doing so they spend very low round draft picks on them. Burfict is a perfect example of this. The Start of this kid’s senior season he was a lock for the first round. Burfict did not take the game seriously though. In essence he selfdestructed. Getting into trouble with the law, and in games he got called for many unnecessary roughness calls and cost his team plays and yards. By the time the draft rolled around his draft stock had…

Whatever they choose to do, the four year veteran is versatile enough to use in multiple areas. Collins was acquired to fill the void left by the release of Paul Kruger and Nate Orchard going on injured reserve. The Pro Bowler has great awareness and coverage skills. In fact, he can drop back and cover tight ends, something Chris Kirksey has struggled with. He can even be used as a pass rusher to help a team with just 14 sacks.…

On the other hand I question if Luck will be able to stay healthy I'm worried 2015 was a precursor to the future. Luck suffered a shoulder injury and a lacerated kidney causing him to miss the latter part of last year. The injuries were in large part due to the lack of protection from his offensive line he was pressured on 32% of his drawbacks no quarterback will come out unscathed if they're constantly facing that much heat. If he gets hurt again the Colts are royally screwed and last time I checked there aren't that many quality NFL backups in the league.…

Whenever the Eagles do release Mathews, they will be without a starting, workhorse running back. Luckily for them, this year's draft class is loaded with running backs and the Eagles can wait until the later rounds to grab one. A few weeks ago, I wrote about how Florida State running back Dalvin Cook is a perfect fit for what the Eagles do offense.…

In the meantime, the Texans will be looking to bounce back off of a disappointing season-opener against the Kansas City Chiefs, a game they lost 27-20 at home. This week, they hit the road and play against the Carolina Panthers who are coming off a road win against the struggling Jacksonville…

Bob Stoops and the Oklahoma Sooners were on life support. After a disappointing 8-5 season, capped off with an embarrassing loss to Clemson, Bob Stoops was starting to feel the heat. So Stoops went out and made the best move of his career. He hired Lincoln Riley from ECU, and he gave the keys to his new offense to Baker Mayfield, the former walk on from Texas Tech. Many felt this would be a long recovery, but instead it was more like a shot of adrenaline. Oklahoma became the best team in the country, and now they are going to prove it in the playoff.…

When you think about the Super Bowl what thoughts come to mind? You might think about parties, half time shows, or even commercials, but did you know that the Super Bowl trophy is named after Vince Lombardi? Today I am going to take you on a journey of why Coach Lombardi was a Visionary Leader. He took the worst team in the league and turned them into champions by using his methodical patterns by going above and beyond to know all aspects of his football team. He watched every play and analyzed each player to know their strengths and weaknesses. Next, he used inspirational motivation to get buy-in from his players, coaches, and fans based on his vision to win. Furthermore, I will discuss how he was an Ethical Leader. Coach Lombardi had competing values based off of his Catholic values, but he had openly gay players on his team. Moreover, he used intellectual…

Have you ever wondered how much NFL teams get paid and how much they actually win? Most Teams that get very few wins are paid too much and the teams that do win don’t get enough. The teams are paying their players too much to be terrible on the field. Teams that are having more wins are trying harder to get to be paid more so they try to get more wins.…
