Should Marijuana Be Legal? Should marijuana be legal? This topic has been argued for over decades, wither it’s a miracle drug that can help/save many people or a gateway drug leading someone down the wrong path of temptation. Many people across America have admitted to using cannabis either in their childhood or frequent daily users. Many people who have not ever used marijuana may have the wrong interpretation of the plant. Many medical benefits can come from this plant and from helping small children who have seizures, to old me who can’t stop shaking from Parkinson’s. Certainly that number must have dropped in recent years with both states and the feds easing up on enforcement. Still it’s a lot of money that could be spent doing well anything else, really. On the other hand there are reports suggesting that the government could make upwards of $7 billion a year by taxing legalized marijuana much as it does tobacco. There are even some estimates that legalization could create a $100-billion taxable industry overnight (given what people pay for marijuana now), creating thousands of new, and completely legit jobs. Certainly, Denver is a good test case. They can take drug dealers off the street and turn them into legal bud dispensers making a legit government paycheck. Overall many people may have the wrong view on medical marijuana and just how resourceful it can be and all the ways it can be used. The worst art about having marijuana is being caught with it which is crazy if you think about having to be scared to carry medicine. Marijuana should be legal in all states it’s a great taxable product and will also cut crime rates down significantly, and is one of the best treatable medicines for seizures and Alzheimer
