Most Americans have asked this question sometime in their life, should I go to college? Going to college opens doors to increased salary, broader career opportunities, and options for individual and professional growth that Americans can't get anywhere else. Everyone should go to college. First, Americans have more career opportunities if they go to college. According to UCLA, the portion of incoming freshmen that cited, “To be able to get a better job”, as a very important reason for attending college reached an all-time high of 87.9% in 2012. Employers increasingly want workers with at least some college education. Out of 11.6 million jobs created, 11.4 million went to those with some form of college education.
