Is it the student who goes and waits in line for a free tee-shirt? An engaged Campbell student is a person who becomes involved with something on campus. One who makes friends and goes to the various activities provided for them.

Cheerleading as given me the abilities to come close with many other students that are interested in the same interest as I am. I now have many friends that I do not believe I would even know if I was not a cheerleader. Being a cheerleader allowed me to know I can go to my coaches when I am in need as well as my athletic trainer. When I go to see or talk to my athletic trainer I meet many other athletes as well in the training room; “Pride” has also giving me many other relationships with other athletes. Inside the P.A.L. program I have a “Big Pal” who is a mentor to me and when she graduates I will become a mentor to underclassmen too. My “Big Pal” is there to help me and answer any questions I may have throughout my course of study and first years of Campbell.
I hope to continue being a part of the cheerleading team as well as the P.A.L. program. I have enhanced my study skills, time management skills, as well as my social skills from being engaged in these activities. I hope that my involvement in these opportunities will continue and I will keep learning and enhancing the skills needed to complete my degree and to help my future

However, these days spent were not for competition, but for learning from each other. Even though it sounds pretty corny and cliche, the team next year is going to be nowhere near the same without you. You’re always so supportive of each and every single girl on the team and I know that everybody can trust you the most with any problem that they have, whether it be on the cheer time or their personal life. You’re always there for the team, helping out in any way possible, whether it be fixing a whole pyramid with counts five minutes before halftime or by being a representative for our team at every orientation or school event. You represent exactly what a cheerleader should be, always showing school spirit, always trying to encourage the team to be friends with one another, showing enthusiasm during sidelines and spiriting instead of just waiting for halftime, and always expressing a kind charisma no matter what is going on in your personal life.…

Within these sports I have made friendships with my teammates I will never forget, and learned important lessons in humbleness when winning, and cohere with my friends when losing. By being a member of any sports teams at my high school, I regularly attended many of my school’s events, giving me the opportunity to develop relationships, and gain a tremendous sense of pride in my school. Many people in the U.S. have different views on whether college education is worth it. To some people college education is the gateway to a better life and a future but, to some they are able to become successful without a college degree. A degree from college shows how intelligent that person may be. It may also show how wealthy and elite they are. As for people without attending college demonstrate how uncivilized they are. Or so they say. Some degree pays for themselves off some don’t. The debate over if college education is worth it may have begun when the colonialist arrived from Europe and founded “New College” in 1636. People who argue that college is worth it contend that college graduates have higher employment rates, bigger salaries, and more work benefits than high school graduates. They say college graduates also have better interpersonal skill, live longer, have healthier children, and have proven their ability to achieve a major milestone. People who argue that college is not worth it content that the debt from college loans is too high and delays graduates from saving for retirement, buying a house, or even getting married. They say many successful people never graduated from college. Colonial colleges were mainly founded and attended by wealthy Puritans, and followed the models of…

Two years of FREE community college! In theory, this sounds like a really good idea, and would give numerous people, who would otherwise not have the option to continue his education, the opportunity to get a good start on his college degree. President Obama has proposed a two year, free community college plan. in his speech given at Pellissippi State College in Knoxville, Tennessee, President Obama stated, a college education should be “as free and universal as high school is today” (Korte). High school is not free. Tax paying citizens pay for children to get a high school education. College should be more affordable for those who wish to pursue a higher education, but the President’s plan will not work; there are too many expenses that would not allow the nation to support every college student who attends a two year college. There are too many questions and concerns about offering two years of free higher education to everyone. College is not for everyone, and certainly will…
