Argumentative Essay On Special Education
Special Education is important to different people and for different reasons all over the world. Special Education has been around since 1975 when the “Education for All Handicapped Children Act of 1975”, was established (History-Center). This act gave children with disabilities a public education. Later, the, “Individuals with Disabilities Education Act of 2004” (IDEA), came into play (History-Center). This gave these children a higher quality education. Because of this the child can have an appropriate and free education during the ages between three and twenty-one (History-Center). Special Education provides great education to the child and an opportunity to have an education like any other child would have in a public school. Special education provides, as a appropriate, instructional support along with accommodations and modifications that allows students with disabilities access to regular education classes and curriculums.

The families of the children or adult are very thankful for such great help which they wouldn’t be able to do on their own. The Arc is a service that gives help. They can help you apply for social security benefits, Medicaid, and Mental Health Services. Also they can locate great learning and fun activities for people with disabilities to do. One activity that they sponsor are dances throughout the year (People-Arc). Fiscal Intermediary services is when The Arc helps folks to get their social security benefits and use the money to pay for the adult’s rent and bills so they don’t miss a payment (Service-Arc). The Arc is more helpful in helping make sure you are financially stable in life.
