As a nation founded on the ideals of immigration and diversity, why does it hold such a resistance to such? With increased refugees and other around the world, it would only be reasonable to try to provide them with a sense of security that can only come from proper placement. However, most try to overlook these immigrants, making negative claims about their intentions; sayings such as “ruining the economy” or “stealing jobs” often appear during the argument of whether or not they have the right to reside here. America, as is the melting pot of cultures and people that it is today, should return to the thinking that made it such a diversified nation in the first place.
As the number of refugees rises, so does the willingness of the American
