Argument Essay Did you ever work a minimum wage job, and feel like you worked hours and hours but never had the money. Many people are constantly working their minimum wage job and they make very little money. While some believe the minimum wage should stay the same because it would be too much for business owners, others believe it should be raised because it could save taxpayers’ money and create more jobs.
Many people who are working minimum wage jobs are still not making enough to support their families, and seek assistance from the government.     Because the cost of living has sky rocketed, it has become almost impossible to raise a family on a minimum wage job. A person living on his or her own cannot survive on minimum wage job either. Their living expense would just be too much. The earnings of minimum wage workers are crucial to their families well being. Evidence from 2013 and 2014 minimum wage increase shows that an average minimum wage worker brings home more than half of his or her family's weekly earnings. In Barbara Ehrenreich’s work of fiction called Serving in Florida, she describes the struggles of an average waitress trying to survive a minimum wage job.
