Argumentative Essay On Immigration Is Right
The general argument made by author Kulish, Dickerson, and Nixton in their work, Immigration Agents discover New Freedom to Deport Under Trump, is that while many are upset with the increased number of deportations, the immigrants are still illegal and have no right to stay. More specifically, Kulish et al. argue that these immigrants are illegal and should not be allowed to stay, although violent ones still have priority. He writes, “Agents said that even with the added freedom [to arrest any and all illegal immigrants], they would still go after the people who presented the greatest danger to the public.” In this passage, Kulish is suggesting that many of the public's’ fears are unfounded. The public believes that officers are making unnecessary arrests and purposefully breaking up families by taking in immigrants …show more content…
More specifically, I believe that these officers are being unjustly persecuted by the public when there is no need, and these people do not fully understand the situation. For example, in the article it mentions that officers went to an airport and checked all passengers ID’s because they were told a person with a deportation order may be on board. They had been persecuted because of this by many online and through letter, especially on the law enforcement side. These people had no idea why they were checking ID’s, and yet they ridicule officers for doing their jobs. They were keeping people safe and were still thought to be in the wrong. Although Kulish et al. may believe that the public is aware of the reasons behind some of the officers’ actions, I maintain that they are not and are still ungrateful and uninformed- they should not make decisions based on rumors. Therefore, I conclude that these agents are needed and helpful. They are no danger to families and society, but rather, keep the public safe while doing their jobs even if they are

“is a nation of immigrants, but also a nation of laws, and these concepts are not mutually exclusive.” To suggest that the U.S. currently lacks laws regarding immigration and that President Trump’s failed immigration order would fill this void is highly irrational and ignores concrete immigration policy. Stewart further suggests that “we should never underestimate the unimaginable devastation that can result from a small number of [immigrants] driven by hatred.” “National security and public safety,” he writes, are “the preeminent functions of government.”…

On the topic discussed on the radio channel 88.9 on “State of Nevada” was Trump’s ban on immigration. Joe Schoenmann, the radio host, along with his guest, Chris Edward, an assemblyman, has acknowledged the conflict this ban has created in the society, which causes many people to voice their frustrations and anger towards Trump and the new order he signed. The new executive order and its impact on immigration cause an uproar and the people to protest outside the airport, which has become a disturbance to many tourists and could affect Nevada’s profit in tourism. Protestors of all ages gathered at the McCarran Airport, calling the ban “un-American.” Edward expressed his opposite viewpoint to those of the many protestors by agreeing with Trump’s…

People from different parts of the world come to America in search of freedom and opportunities to make a better life for themselves and their children. However, due to the political uncertainty in the United States, immigrants are not welcomed or accepted with open arms. By being unwelcoming toward immigrants not only are we preventing them from coming to America but we also prevent aspiring, and hardworking individuals who have the potential to make America a stronger nation. Though some people will argue that there are many natives who are willing to work and are left unemployed because immigrants are taking their jobs; this argument is simply not true. During the 2016 Presidential Election, Hillary Clinton stated that immigrants have a…

The legal identity is not able to guarantee the immigrations receive equal respect from local residents. Nevertheless, once the most basic living condition is violated, there is nothing he is afraid to do even if it is illegitimate. Those involved in terrorist attacks may well be refugees who have trouble in their life. Extreme cases are rare but deadly. The offenders are subjected to overwhelming unequal treatment. No one is able to bear a large amount of provocation. In the end, they make a helpless choice——to resort to violence for fundamental rights. Martin Luther King pointed out the importance of equality in his well-known speech—“I have a dream.” “We hold these truths to be self-evident; that all men are created equal.” The world has gone through remarkable progress. The opinion should not fall behind the time. Therefore, I firmly disagree with the reason that giving more rights to the immigrations will threaten the public security. Quite on the reverse, the most effective method is to give more rights to the immigrations in order to maintain a harmonious…

Latinos. They’re a problem. Whenever most people go down the street they see more and more taco trucks and party shops with frilly chairs up in the front with the word QUINCEANERA printed in bold face. Good old Americans no longer have to buy a lawn mower and mow their lawns themselves because they can just call up a guy named Juan and ask him to do it for less than minimum. All of our hard earned American dollars are being wasted on “immigration reform” because apparently a visa is “hard” to get. However, there is a solution to this growing problem. Since, President Elect Donald J. Trump will build a wall to keep the rest out, and since all immigrants are illegal rapists, criminals, and drug dealers, instead of granting them visas, we make them learn their lesson and throw them over the wall with a catapult. It’s a sure fire way to make America great again.…

Immigration policy is one topic that has been very frequently debated recently and has become one of the deciding factors for many Americans when it comes to the presidential elections this November. The reason behind this is that the immigration population has reached more than 42 million people that comprise 13 percent of the entire population . They have become more influential in our politics and economy by contributing nearly 15% of the total economic output and this has led to new legislation from the President such as DACA and DAPA which hopes to keep more immigrants in the country and allow them to contribute to economy further. There is the argument however, that these immigrants are taking jobs from Americans and contributing to…

Illegal immigration began from a number of residence entering the country without the government permission. However, illegal immigration dates back all the way to the 1880s. Some of these immigrants have also taken advantage of their stay and have exceeded the date of their temporary visas. Unfortunately, due to the lack of enforcing rules, the number of illegal immigrants in this country have increased.…
