Argumentative Essay On Chris Mccandless
I agree that Chris McCandless was ignorant and bright at the same time but he liked to do what he did. He didn’t really have common sense but he was brave. Chris McCandless came from a rich family and graduated from Emory University he was a top athlete and a top student in the University. Whenever he graduated from college, Instead of embarking on a prestigious career or work he chose to give his savings to charity. i think if he would of kept studying he would of had a good life and lived longer than he expected to. Like they would say he was ignorant and that he didn’t really have common sense. He also had a degree and he came from a wealthy family I don't know why he would just throw that away like that. I agree with them because instead of studying and becoming something in life he donated his money and left on a journey.
Then he set himself off on a journey to the Alaskan Wilderness I don’t know why he would do that maybe because he was so ignorant and he didn’t wanna study a good career. He probably wanted to just take a journey to the Alaskan Wilderness instead of getting a good career. He could of done something better with his life instead of going on a journey. His parents don’t know he is going on a journey he had told his parents that he was going to spend the summer traveling in his little yellow car.

On July 6 he arrives Lake Meadow Recreational Area in Nevada. Like i think that Chris McCandless did horrible because he could of studied for a better job than just traveling over the summer. While he was at Nevada Chris McCandless has to abandon his car because it was damaged by a flash flood and he had to pack everything in his backpack and leave on

After he came up dead and his story popped up in the newspaper many people gave their opinion on his decisions. One of the harshest of them said, “amounts of disrespect to the land… just another case of underprepared, over confident men bumbling around out there and screwing up because they lacked the requisite humility” (51). Most of these came from Alaskans who know how harsh the land could be but John Krakauer the author of the book Into The Wild believed otherwise. McCandless wasn’t crazy for what he did, he was just unfamiliar with the area but if he was crazy he wouldn’t have lasted in the wilderness as long as he did. (59)…

It is said that Chris McCandless was a bright and ignorant person according to Cellarmans argument and maybe others point of views. In my perspective I agree but disagree as well although I agree with the argument that was said by Callarmans. As I state a quote that was said by Shaun Callarman “ had no business going into Alaska with his Romantic silliness”. As it says “Romantic silliness” he was meaning that he wanted to die in a poetic but as well as a beautiful surrounding of love and happiness. He traveled to find himself into the wilderness to figure out who he is.…

Chris McCandless was a deep thinker and he lived his life accordingly, but he was somehow crazy enough to try to live in the wild unprepared. His poor decision ultimately led to his death. Chris was willing to abandon his loving family and not say a word to them just so he could go live by himself in nature. His actions were inconsiderate. It demonstrates how crazy Chris was since he was willing to do this, and pretty much get himself killed. He, at the time before his adventure, had a great life that most people would have loved to have. Chris was a strange, crazy young…

Pretend it never happened and sweep it under the rug, just to manifest in your later years as perhaps a mental illness or PTSD? I believe that Bean going to a lawyer and pressing charges was the best way to handle this problem. Why? Well, because Jerry Maddox needs to pay, the town needs to know, and Liz needs justice.…

McCandless early year of his life was abusive and unsettling because his father abused him in many ways that only siblings and he can explain. His father also had another family and impacted McCandless. McCandless could express it. Growing up, his family wanted the best for him. His parents believed that they could buy his respect. McCandless thought other. Overall, Chris McCandless’s childhood wasn’t the best. His journey was the highlight of his life until it came to the end. He was poisoned and suffered for many days with an illness of starvation and was barely able to stand up. During his last days, Chris McCandless writes, “‘I HAVE HAD A HAPPY LIFE AND THANK THE LORD. GOODBYE AND MAY GOD BLESS ALL!’” (Krakauer 199). Chris McCandless finally opened eyes to see what he had in front of him because he realized that his family did care for him and that the people he met along the way gave him happiness, but was too much of a fool to realize. Another most obvious reason for Chris McCandless being a fool for him leaving his life. He left his family, money and career behind to go chase his goal to Alaska. It was awfully nice of him to donate his money to charity, but he lost everything he…

Stampede trails – A terrible tragedy happened on the trails of the Stampede. Three men hunting for game, decided to end their journey as they do every year and like so many others like them by taking shelter at an abandoned bus which rests on the trails just twenty-five miles from the Denali national park boundary. When they arrived at their destination, there was a decaying odour of flesh in the air and to their surprise, taped to the door of the bus was a note pleading for help. Inside, the body of a man immersed in a blue sleeping bag.…
