Argumentative Essay On Animal Cloning
Argumentative Essay
In an NBC news article, the author stated, “Scientists are one step closer to bringing a woolly mammoth back to life” (Ghose). Her statement proves that animal cloning is not a dream or idea anymore. It is now a reality and scientist from all around the world are utilizing animal cloning. Cloning in general has evolved its technology over the years and has become more advanced. In fact, author Jacqueline Langwith wrote an article on animal cloning, which started, “Animal cloning has entered the world of horse racing and other equestrian sports.” (Langwith). Many people are excited to clone their favorite or most successful horse. An example that Jacqueline cited was, “An Italian Haflinger foal named Prometea was the first cloned horse” (Langwith). However, cloning is a new type of science that is

There are many opinions that different from both sides of going for and against animal cloning. Jacqueline Langwith writes, “Some people don't like cloning because they do not like the idea of recreating an animal or species” (Langwith). Although her statement provides a rationale why certain people may not like this process, they do not understand that animal cloning is not hurting the species. Cloning is saving species. Therefore, animal cloning should be legalized. Cloning can save endangered species, researchers can use animal clones for a food source, and researchers can study organs and tissues from clones.
To begin, animal cloning should be legalized because there are numerous benefits. First off, we use animal cloning to save all animals. Everyone has seen the animals commercial where there are sick animals living in an animal shelter. The animals are abused, bruised and scared. Everyone has wanted to help them out but don’t know how to. This doesn’t just go for dogs, but for other endangered animals as

Clones could be seen as less than animals compared with non-clones” (Quinonez, blog.udemy.com). When I was reading I read that cloning is good for one good reason, to harvest the animal's organs. This idea is so inhumane, according (toblog.udemy.com) “While the cloning of body organs can be a great asset to extending human life, it could also cause a lot of malpractice. This could lead to a rise in malpractices within society.” First, scientist create these disgusting creatures and steal their organs for the purpose of human's life, that is just…

If you had the chance to bring a loved one back into this world to stop your pain, would you? Cloning, the process of taking a cell from one organism, taking a donor womb cell from another organism of the same species (which will not affect the clone’s genetic identity), inserting the original cell in the donor cell, and placing the newly developed embryo inside a surrogate mother. There are those who think that cloning is a wonderful idea and that it is acceptable to make life, from and identical to that which already exists. One reason people protest the idea of cloning is because many are mystified as to how it could be used and what its purposes can be. I know that if it were your child, you would use every possible measure to keep them alive. The fact that we, as humans, might be able to figure out how to clone so that lives could be saved is extremely exciting and inspiring. “With so much enhancement in medical science, cloning is slowly but surely looking like it could be in our near future. However, is it really an option…

Cloning is useful on a bacterial level for doing all sorts of science related to DNA. Bacterial clone libraries are kept with every gene we find. Cloning on a larger scale would allow us to produce an organ transplant without worry of rejection from the host. Whole animal cloning is only useful for people who want the same looking pet they had that died or maybe you had a good steak and you wanted to clone that cow. The possible impact of cloning is improving the overall standards human beings. Cloning will do a lot for medical research. It will also challenge people’s ideas about life and about themselves. Disadvantage of the use of cloning are adding clones to the population would make things worse, world would eventually explode. Benefits of the use of cloning such as medical emergencies for an example if someone needed a heart or someone needed something donated or replaced. Cloned genes are also used to produce drugs, insulin, clotting factors, human growth hormone, and industrial enzymes. In 1952 scientists transferred a cell from a frog embryo into an unfertilized egg, which then developed into a…

However, scientists still have still a lot to learn in the field of cloning. The first mammal to be cloned was Dolly the sheep in the year of 1996 on July 5th. Geneticists have already learned how to clone an animal and different cross-breeds of two organisms like the human-pig. They can also remove DNA strands and clone them to study the genetic makeup of the organism. The use of stem cells is that they can use the stem cells in experimenting different diseases to produce a new medication or more effective medication. Over the years, geneticists have accomplished composing stem cells and generating the duplicate of the same animal for…

Evidence: “ With the advancement and expansion of technology science has been able to achieve new wonders. These improvements and discoveries in science have allowed the human race to explore and learn more about the world. One such phenomenon is cloning. Cloning has opened the doors to explore human beings in a way that was once never possible. With cloning the human body, as well as other organisms, will be studied. Cloning and genetic engineering will both come into play to improve scientific knowledge.” (Serendip, 1)Citation: ( Serendip, Cloning right or wrong)Evidence: Many people believe human cloning should be banned prior to human defects, health problems, not proper treatment, and many other things. Human cloning Has not been exactly successful, and most of the time it has failed. However, scientist are trying to figure things out and fix itCitation: ( Serendip, Cloning right or wrong)…

The ability to clone will allow scientists to duplicate new, needed organs for patients thanks to therapeutic cloning. Endangered animals will be able to become striving species overtime due to reproductive cloning. Infertile women will once again be granted the gift of giving birth, all creditable to reproductive cloning.…

There are many animals that are going extinct now than ever before. Dolly, the first successful clone of a sheep [mammal], was perfectly normal. She was a mother of six lambs, which were all bred the old-fashioned way. Although sheep aren’t going extinct it’s a perfectly good example of cloning. Just because we can prevent the extinction of an animal population, should we?…

Today I will be persuading you about the disadvantages of animal cloning by, first, telling you what could go wrong when cloning an animal, second, telling you why we should not bring back some extinct animals, and finally, I will tell you why it is so expensive and dangerous to clone animals. Even though we have successfully cloned cats, dogs, sheep, pigs, and many more. Those clones took a lot of time and a lot of money, but so many failures to finally have an end product (? Advantages and Disadvantages of Cloning?).…

For others, cloning is seen as a threat to human and animal rights. If our country is not already equally divided on the issue of cloning, the majority is likely not for cloning.…

    Should Cloning Be Banned

A further reason why cloning should not be banned is that thousands of lives are saved from cloning human cells, tissue or organs. Regenerative medicine, a growing scientific field, allows this cloning to take place. Cloning human body parts guarantees a genetic match to prevent organ rejections and doesn’t require drugs that lower the body’s immune response. If human cloning is fully banned, this type of research would be stopped and a lot of lives would be lost.…
