Cannabis, weed, grass, reefer, THC; These are all names that we give to a super-drug called Marijuana that is benefitting society beyond belief. Marijuana is a highly beneficial flowering plant that can be consumed by someone and this plant, when smoked or consumed, creates euphoric and profound effects on an individual’s mental and physical state. When it comes to medicinal use of marijuana, the positive aspects of the drug outweigh the negative to a ridiculous extent. Recreational use is also an enormously controversial aspect to legalizing marijuana. In my opinion, marijuana should be legalized everywhere recreationally and medicinally due to its overall beneficial qualities and such miniscule negative ones. Marijuana has been scientifically proven to have very minimal negative qualities that pertain to it. The worst thing that would happen if you smoked marijuana would be a cough, red eyes, and a dry mouth. If these were the only side effects of chemotherapy, would a cancer patient choose this over the literal poison that is injected into the bloodstream? I
Marijuana has been helpful in fighting, treating and even understanding several diseases including cancer and HIV/AIDS. It has almost zero negative side effects and has been scientifically proven to inhibit cell growth and even kill cancerous cells in several different types of cancer. The tax that Colorado alone has put on marijuana brought an enormous source of income that could be used to build schools, hospitals, and business centers. The positive aspects of marijuana outweigh the negatives to a truly unbelievable extent. The almost complete lack of negative side effects for a drug that helps people so much seems too good to be true. Luckily, it is true and we need to take advantage of the opportunity that nature has given
