There are two sides of every story when it comes to immigration, some come here to cause trouble but others just want a better opportunity in life. Illegal immigrants cause the United States to go into even more debt than we are in. They have raised crime rates at an increasing rate. Even though it’s illegal to come here some still choose to do so and on the way, people have died at the border. Overall they just want a better life. We don’t know much about their past lives but we do know that they want to come to the states for a better opportunity for them and their family. Immigrants affect the United States in many different ways.

Illegal immigrants affect the United State by causing the united states to have debts. "Illegal immigration costs U.S. taxpayers about $113 billion a year at the federal, state and local level”(Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR)). By not paying taxes but also using our materials and them working, it has caused us 113 billion a year.”The annual gross cost to U.S. taxpayers to provide schooling, hospitalization, and whatever plethoric benefits are out there for the 30 million illegal aliens is approximately $400 billion per year funded by bona fide U.S. taxpayers. That's $400 billion per year and

They don’t pay taxes but yet they go to school for free and they raised our debt in hospitality. Even though they know it’s illegal to come here without a document, they’ve tried multiple times and when they get caught, some still haven’t learned their lessons. Because of the illegal immigrants, our crime rates have been increasing. The United States immigration system isn’t very good either. Because of freedom that the immigrants don’t have, they’ve tried to come to the States. But on the way, they have lost people and they got separated from their family. Many Americans believe that immigrants are stealing jobs from them, when in reality most Americans do not have the willpower to get a job and the immigrants see an opportunity for a job and take it. By the time the natives apply for the job it is already taken because they were too late. Americans also say that immigrants do not pay their taxes, “According to a report from The Institute on Taxation & Economic Policy (ITEP), they pay a hefty amount of state and local tax, just like other people living in the United States. Collectively, America’s undocumented immigrants pay an estimated $11.64 billion in state and local taxes every year with at least 50 percent of undocumented immigrant households filing tax returns using Individual Tax Identification Numbers”(Forbes). That $11.64 billion dollars that is taken is from sales and excise taxes, property taxes and personal income taxes, Immigrants pay as much taxes as the average American does if not…

Part of this statement is true: some illegals do pay taxes, just not as much taxes as they should be paying. Illegal immigrants only pay back 1/3 of the federal level and only 5% at the state level (Fiscal). Education for illegal immigrants children costs Americans nearly 52 billion dollars…

Sure there are bad ways they impact us, but their are many good ways the affect our country. Immigrants have recently been an argumentative topic in the states. The waves of immigrants have embellished and have provided rich culture, they have added to our population as a nation, which ultimately fortifies our influence on the world(Griswold). Contrariwise, to the stereotype, immigrants do not actually push american citizens out of their jobs. In fact, they take the jobs Americans will not take advantage of, which happen to be on the low and high end of skill level required (Griswold). “ 15% of our population is made up of them and over a third of documented immigrants are skilled” ( Goldin). Not only do the immigrants fill jobs, but they create them as well. It has been said that all immigrant do is force the US to take care of more people. Although that is true, people tend to leave out that they create more jobs in the first place. Immigrants take small business and expand them giving other people the chance to work for them thus adding more jobs and opportunities for Americans…

How do they affect it? Immigrants use government benefits and may not pay taxes. This makes the government spend money that they just don't have. This causes taxes to go up and also creates a hole in the fund of the U.S. treasury, like a small hole in a bag of water where is you put more water in, the water will just leak out faster, and this is impossible for them to fix if they have to keep spending money for immigrants to have benefits. But, not everything is bad. Immigrants also contribute to the demand of goods. Immigrants make their money and spend their money here which in turn leads to a higher demand for goods which can create jobs. The money immigrants spend helps out local economies and the overall flow of money in the area because they need to spend the money to…

First off, the government is losing money on immigrants, especially ones that enter illegally. They either do not pay their taxes at all, or pay them incorrectly. This is a problem that affects everyone, not just immigrants. They might not pay those taxes, and receive wages under the table, but those under the table jobs can come in handy for the rest of us. How many U.S. born teenagers would be privileged to get paid two or three dollars an hour to take out the trash and clean toilets. Those might be jobs that they are using up that could go to native-born Americans, but do we really want them? Plus, they are "Americanizing" themselves to be better citizens. What a better way to get used to living here, and become a good, tax-paying person, than to work here, and constantly be around U.S. I myself feel that by teaching the Spanish only speaking bus boy English at my work, I am helping him become more American. They are working for a better life. The few that bend the rules on the path to becoming American shouldn't be punished. Think of when your ancestors…

One of the negative effects of illegal immigration is the amount of money taxpayers have to pay to let illegal immigrants use state services. For instance, FAIR found that annually the estimated 195,000 illegal alien students and 481,000 U.S.-born children of illegal aliens place an $8.5 billion burden on taxpayers for education cost. Taxpayers also pay $1.9 billion per year to fund Medicaid and other uncompensated healthcare programs… (Breitbart.com). Illegal immigrants are poor, pay fewer taxes, and are likely to receive public benefits than American citizens. Because many of these immigrants are low-skilled workers who don’t have enough to pay taxes that will cover the cost of the services, American citizens are forced to pay the education costs, healthcare needs, social security, and welfare. Some of these…

Many people see the bad things in a situation and never the good. They can help the economy. The illegal immigrants that find a job in the U.S actually do pay taxes. They pay revenue to the agency they work for and they have taxes taken away from their paycheck. This still happens even if they don’t file for tax returns. When people file tax returns they need to remember that illegal immigrants are paying their fair share of money for the government. They are hoping that someday they will benefit from this. Another reason why they should stay is because it cost the government. To deport all 11 million of the immigrants it would cost 400 billion to 600 billion in all. To deport them each it would be 10,000 per person. The U.S is already badly in debt and can’t afford these expenses to deport all of them. The reason why illegal immigrants come to the U.S is to get a better life for them or their family back home. They are willing to do any job. Most Americans wouldn’t want to do these type of jobs. Whether it's household chores or cleaning they would take it. A big job that many illegal immigrants do is farm work. If they do get deported, the supply of workers would decrease. According to bloomberg.com, illegal immigrants make up 5.1% of the nation's labor force in 2012. Illegal immigrants are very important to the U.S. These are the reasons…

Some immigrants are paid with cash “under the table”(Barbour 34). Therefore, they are not required to pay for social security or income taxes. Consequently, this shows that illegals have cheated the economy. Governor Wilson said, “The benefits for illegal immigrants cost his state 2.4 billion in tax money” (Friedman). According to this, immigrants use up a sum of money, causing a deficit to the economy. According to Friedman Nicholas, “Supporters say illegal immigrants are taking jobs away from legal residents who need them.” When illegal immigrants are given jobs, it takes opportunities away from paying citizens. In all, illegal immigrants have damaged the US economy, also increasing the national…
