Is higher education worth it? There is no doubt that higher education is getting more and more expensive. And the cost per student has risen by almost three times since last decades. In Charles Murray essay, “[Are Too Many People Going to college?]. I agree that college shouldn’t be the primary objective after finishing high school. And there are some options like vocational schools, art school or starting a small business.

After graduation and having college degree, still miserable to step out in life with huge debts. Michael Alleruzzo professor at Saint Joseph’s university told us that “ I’m still paying my loan that I got from the bank to get my PHD” it was surprising for me that to graduate in 1994, and after 20 years of getting his degree still paying his loan back. Nowadays, many people who decided to get a loan to go to college can’t afford to buy a house, car, stating a small business and even making a family. Also, some people clime that their degrees and majors will pay off their loans back. However I believe that higher education is not worth enough it because it’s becoming expensive, not all majors have the demand in the jobs field, and kills creativities.

Sanford J, argued that college graduates are not finding it harder to get a jobs with a liberal education. And many of them are working successfully in a field like Wall Street. However, recent report by McKinsey have found that 42% of the recent liberal education graduates are in jobs are require less than a four- year college education. Furthermore, 41% of them couldn’t find jobs in their chosen field and have of them said they wouldn’t have chosen their major if they had known that. Therefore, I believe that higher education is not going to affect significantly in our future
