Archetypes In The Hunger Games

As Katniss comes to the end of the Hunger Games she meets several archetypes, and finishes her hero's journey. First Katniss faces the resurrection, where she must defeat her final threshold guardian Cato, who is the last hurdle in the way of her winning the Hunger Games. On top of the cornucopia Peeta and Katniss fight for their lives, at times struggling with hand to hand combat as the mutant muts wait below. Peeta and Cato struggle to knock each other off the cornucopia, Katniss has an opportunity to shoot Cato but he would take Peeta down with him. Eventually Peeta gets the upper hand, knocking him off of the cornucopia, where he is then torn apart by the mutant muts. The mutants, who look almost like the dead Hunger Games competitors, desperately try and claw their way on
By keeping up the fake relationship she pleasing the capital, giving her life meaning, so her life is safe. On her road home Katniss realizes that life will never be the same, she is now in the public eye, she's being watched by the capital, and she is forever changed by her experiences in the games. Katniss returns with the elixir when she returns home to District 12, she is now a hero to her people, as she defied the capital, and jointly won the Hunger Games. When she arrives home at the train station she is greeted by reporters trying to snap pictures of the star crossed lovers, her life is completely different now. Katniss then gets her reward, as she now has a home in the Victors Village, a safe place for her family to live. She also gets a life long allowance, she can now afford to feed her family, no longer will she have to venture out into the forest to hunt for animals. But with her reward comes a lurking shadow, President Snow is on her case as he realizes the eminence influence she has on her
