Laptop Wireless Network & LAN Configuration

LAN Configuration
In order to use the University’s wireless hotspots you will need a laptop that supports WiFi networking and a valid UKZN Network ID.
This guide will help you configure your laptop so that you can connect to the
University’s wireless network. Should you encounter any difficulties, an ICT consultant will be happy to check the functionality of the Wireless Network; however, we do not offer support of your wireless device.
Important: We strongly recommend that antivirus software is installed on your Laptop as the University of KwaZulu-Natal will not accept any responsibility for the loss or damage of data as a result of using this service. The University’s preferred Anti Virus is
Eset NOD 32, which can be obtained from the ICT Secretary Lindiwe Mkhize
(Room G1A, Science Building) for R200.
