Innovation is the application of better solutions that meet new requirements, inarticulate needs, or existing market needs. The term innovation simply means the act of introducing something new. Without innovation society would never move forward and we would be stuck doing the same old things. Innovation drives today’s market place and it’s important for companies to constantly be thinking ahead and remaining current with the times. The agriculture industry has come a long ways over the years from having a horse and plow in the fields to using GPS systems to drive the tractors. Innovation has allowed for the agriculture industry to advance and has created a more sustainable industry.
The innovative product our group has come up with to better the agriculture industry is biodegradable net wrap. Net wrap has become a popular option for hay producers over the years because it cuts down on the time it takes to wrap a bale as compared to twine. Time is a big factor for hay producers as this will determine the quality of hay based on the current weather conditions. Most producers prefer the use of net wrap over twine because it does a nicer job of keeping the product all together and makes for easier transportation.
Our innovation consists of using a biodegradable plastic as our main material. The net wrap will be composed of a bio plastic to ensure our product will biodegrade. We suspect our product will be useful for up to two years in either indoor or outdoor storage. Obviously outdoor storage will allow for the net warp to biodegrade faster but we assume it will remain functionally sounds for up to a year and a half.
The main purpose that our group came up with this innovation is mostly due to the implications related to cattle consuming net wrap. If ruminants consume net wrap there is two different implications it causes. The first implication is the net wrap getting stuck in-between the first two stomachs. Usually the net wrap gets caught

This wrap keeps the integrity of its content until opened. At Saint Joseph’s Medical Center in California reprocessed 5,595 pounds of blue wrap in one year with an average monthly rate of 466 pounds (Health Care Industry Waste Reduction and Recycling, 2007). As the focused medical center has three main surgical facilities along with multiple procedure rooms that toss vast quantities of blue wrap daily. While not as imperative to farming some of the more agricultural based inventions have shown to be extremely advanced. An example of the new farming technologies is the GPS guided tractors. This technology allows the user to map out a path on a GPS and program their tractors to follow that path accurately without and further guidance. Another piece of technology that has been recently invented allows farming equipment to communicate with each other. For example a grain cart and combine harvester could electronically communicate such that the grain cart pulls up next to the combine harvester so than it can unload its storage of grain and continue to harvest. These two pieces of technology allow farmers to use minimal effort when harvesting crops and managing fields. RFID Tags are collars that farmers place on cattle that allow them to monitor the location of their cattle. Additionally, RFID Tags can monitor a cow’s nutrition so that it is known whether or not they need to be fed. The last application of this device would be to alert the farm if cattle were to face distress. (“12most.com”)…

The research style of Watson and Crick is way different than Franklin. The two gentlemen are more in an observing style. They usually go together and explore the facts that they have and try to talk with other people. They also observe and ask some people who know their study and try to figure out of the outcome. They do experimentations and read some books to create an answer to the problem. While Franklin, she is more of a silent worker. She does her own research without the help of Watson and Crick, but with her assistants. She is usually in the laboratory to do experimentations and studies well the object which has DNA. She is more focused on the research than the two men.…

Introduction It takes some amount of time looking through the shelf with dozen of shampoo brands displayed in a supermarket. Some people takes a while picking up several shampoos to compare while others choose their shampoos instantly and go. What are the core-factors people consider when buying a shampoo? Is it the price or ingredients that have to do with a product itself? Or is it the outside factors such as products‟ TV commercials or acquaintance‟s recommendations that makes up the image of a product? This research project was done to explain which factors are more relevant than the other in customer preference for a shampoo for their hygienic purposes. To understand customer preference for a shampoo in general, mentioning of specific brand name was crucial thing to do because respondents would then think through the brand in their head and answer the survey. So, I come up with the brand Head & Shoulder as my research tool. This brand name will work as an anchor that links customer to the customer preference for a shampoo. Questions in the survey dealt with the satisfaction of Head & Shoulder shampoo in terms of its intrinsic factors and extrinsic ones. Intrinsic factors deal with the product itself: its price, bottle design (color, shape, and type), ingredients, and environmental-friendly factor. Extrinsic ones deal with the outside image of the product such as TV commercials and friend‟s recommendations of the product. These are all assumed factors customers would measure when choosing a shampoo. These satisfactory-type of questions would be a good sample or guide for finding out which factors are for customer‟s preference in choosing a shampoo in general (See Pages 11-17 for survey item details & survey…
