Apple Inc. with its headquarters in Cupertino, California is an American multinational corporation which manufactures designs and sells personal computers, electronics, online services, computer software, cellular phones, portable music players, watches and variety of other related things including applications. Apple Inc is mainly famous for its hardware products which includes its smart phone ‘iPhone’, Apple TV, its portable music player ‘iPod’, its line of computers ‘Mac’ along with the ‘iPad’ tablet and also its watch, known as Apple smart watch. The online services of Apple Inc. comprise of the iTunes Store, App store, and the iCloud. Apart from this, the consumer software of Apple Inc. include the iOS operating systems, the OS X, Safari, iTunes, and iBooks. Steve Jobs, Ronald Wayne and Steve Woznaik founded Apple on April 1, 1976 for manufacturing personal computers. In the personal computers area, its major competitors are Acer, Lenovo, Dell and Hewlett-Packard (HP). In Mobile computers, its competitors include Asus, Samsung, Google and Nokia. Amongst smart phone companies, its competitors include Samsung, Lenovo/Motorola, HTC, Sony, Huawei and LG. As a competitor for its app store is the Google’s play store and as a competitor for its operating system iOS is Google’s android. The current world’s second largest information technology company was founded by Steve Jobs, Ronald Wayne and Steve Woznaik on April 1, 1976 with the mission of selling Apple I personal computer kit. These kits were particularly developed by Steve Wozniak and were slightly less than what we call a complete computer currently as it was sold only as a mother board. The company was incorporated on January 3, 1977 without one of the three partners, Ronald Wayne who sold his company shares to Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak for approximately $800. The next personal computer kit, Apple II was also designed and developed by Steve Wozniak and introduced at the West Coast Computer Faire. Apple II had an edge over its competitors due to some features like open architecture, etc. hence, it did a considerably better business compared to Apple I. VisiCalc helped Apple II a lot in improving its business growth. Apple had its own employees of computer designers with a production line by the end of the decade, 1970. In order to compete with the market leaders of that era, IBM and Microsoft, the multinational corporation introduced Apple III in May 1980.
