appeal letter
I am writing to appeal to get back into the nursing program. I feel that a lot has changed since I first went into the nursing program. I for one am more confident in myself and know that if I push myself a little more I can do anything. I have made a plan for when and if I get back into the program. The first semester that I was in nursing, I had a very heavy workload. I was taking 17 credits and was very stressed throughout the semester. This semester, I am doing very well in my general classes and feel good about my grades. I have more time to study for tests and feel more prepared. My plan for next semester is to keep my credit number down so I am not overwhelmed with work. Also, during my first semester of nursing I was working every weekend and had little time to study for tests. Now, I work only a few days a week and can study and work on school while I am at work. I feel that I can do much better if I get back into the nursing program. Next semester, if I get back in, I plan on taking my nursing classes and rhetoric I to keep my credit load down. As far as studying goes, I will study every chance I get. I will go to tutoring and SI sessions to help me understand the material better. I might have to take another class and if I do I will try to make sure that it is a pretty simple class that will not take time from studying for nursing. In my classes this semester, at midterm I had no grades below a B. I feel that because I have more time to study I am doing better. I am working less and can study at work, so I think that it helps a lot. If you decide to let me back in I will work harder and seek help sooner in the semester. I feel that if I would have sought help sooner I would have been able to keep up with the information better. I hope that you give me a second chance at my dream and I will work very hard to prove to you that I can do it!

There are slight changes related in returning to school from the role of LPN to RN. First I must focus my time in my school work whether it is studying, reading or just not working 80 hours a week to allow the brain to retain in my long term memory. I currently work in two different fields of nursing. One is mental health which I find personally rewarding because of hands on care I’ve learned to realize who I am and why I am who I am. The other is long term nursing care which has given me respect for the elderly and those who cannot care for themselves. The switch to the RN role I personally anticipate more involvement in the care planning and more respect from health professionals.…

Completing my bachelor’s degree in Nursing has been a personal goal of mine since I graduated with my associate’s degree in nursing. Having my BSN degree is essential for my career and personal development. Initially after graduating with my ASN, I enrolled in a BSN program and started my first class, when life happened. I was a single mother raising my 5 year old daughter, working the night shifts at Miami Children’s Hospital. I was dating my now husband and became pregnant with my second child. I ended up having to quit my job as a pediatric nurse which was my goal, to be a pediatric nurse, get my BSN and climb the ladder there. After the birth of my daughter my personal goals changed, and my academic and career goals were put on hold. My daughters are now almost 13 and 6, so I think now in this stage of my life, I am pleased to go for my academic and career goals.…

Another reason why my academic performance got so bad was the fact that I didn’t get Financial Aid during the Fall 2008 semester, so I was not able to obtain my books as soon as I would have liked. As a result, I found myself having to catch up to the rest of the class. This obviously put me at a bit of a disadvantage. If I am given another chance, I would not foresee this as being an issue in the future.…

My name is Tanisha Webb, and I am writing in regards to the status of my financial aid. I started University of Central Florida in 2006 and experienced many trials and tribulations. Unfortunately I have become consumed with my situation to the point where I could not perform to the best of my ability. In the beginning of 2007 that is when everything started to fall apart in my life. I come from a very close knit family and my grandfather was the pillar of the family. My grandfather unexpectedly had a stroke and two months later had a heart attack at an early age. I felt cheated that he would never get to see me graduate and see the accomplishments I have achieved. This was the first death in my family and I did not know how to handle it. Appeals Process

When an offender and it’s representing counsel feels that the judge made a substantial mistake in their case then the defendant through his representing counsel has the option to appeal the decision. Both sides of the case has the opportunity to appeal (in a civil case) if both feel that the decision made by the judge was a mistake or in most cases the loosing side and in criminal cases only the defendant may appeal the verdict ("The Appeals Process", 2012). An appeal is a formal request that a higher court re-examine the procedure or decision of a lower court, administrative agency, or other body ("What Is An Appeal?”, 1995-2012). As I stated previously, the party that lost or feels that the decision made by the presiding judge was unjust usually makes an appeal. Once the petition is submitted to the court, it can take an average of a year from start to finish for the appeal process. During this time the appellant must gather information to show that the trial court made a legal error that affected the decision in the case. Once the petition reaches the court dockets an appeal hearing is set where a panel of three judges will ask the attorney’s (appellant) involved in the case questions and the appellant will present their legal arguments in writing, then make the decision to either keep the ruling the same or reverse it ("The Appeals Process", 2012).…

When I was a child, I knew that I wanted to be a nurse just like my mom. I started preparing myself by majoring in science, math, and typing in high school. I knew that these classes would one day prepare me for college. When I enter college at the University of Memphis after high school, I take all the prerequisites needed for the nursing program. Later, I entered nursing school at Baptist School of Nursing and I was well on my way to becoming a nurse. When I got in nursing school, I lost focus of why I was there and failed the nursing program. I decided to continue my education at Shelby State Community College (Southwest Community College) by retaking my biology classes to enter SSCC night nursing program.…

I’m contacting you about an issue that is of deep concern to the resident's and myself. The Ahlul-Bayt Islamic School/Community Centre/Scouts in the Vanier area. Their in the need of a proper play ground for the children to play. The play area for the children is all pavement and fencing, they also have no where for the kinder gardeners to play, the structure is old and rusted and its all fenced in. There also ain't no ramp for any child with a weel chair, there is also a shed in the back with a lawn mower which is unsafe for the children to play around. They also don't have a lot of parking for parent's to pick up their children. Making a bigger parking lot for the parents to pick up their children. The street issue is that the road of Baribeau St. need speed bumps because of the traffic around corners and speeding down the streets, while their are children in the area. There are so many issues with the Ahlul-Bayt Islamic School/Community Centre/Scouts that would benefit the public, the children and their families. Their mission is to offer academic excellence in an Islamic atmosphere and a quality learning environment to build and develop an integrated Islamic identity. The school - who consists of students, teachers and parents - will promote spiritual and moral values consistent with respect and good citizenship within the Canadian society. The school has 3 acres of property, which includes a tennis court, and fenced in preschool playground. But there is no playground for the older children but a tennis court, some children would love a playground to climb on instead of playing on pavement with balls. Ahlul-Bayt Islamic School/Community Centre/Scouts has a fully equipped science lab, brand new computer lab, gymnasium, library, and prayer room. They recently had a fire in the computer room. They might need some funding for repairs. Donations are always welcome, We are currently accepting contributions to the upcoming…
