Coordination Exercises
Exercise One
1. Chocolate ice cream is delicious. Vanilla is tasty too.

2. Preparing for your English final is important, and so is preparing for your math exam.
3. I would love to go out with you this evening, but I have to wash my hair.
4. I am lying about why I do not want to go out with him. It’s wrong to do that.
5. Cousins Matthew, Nicholas, and Aidan were are born during the same year; so, they will grow up to be great friends.
6. Maura loves to play soccer, hockey, and volleyball; however, she is so busy at school now that she has no time to play any sports.
7. Kaitlin loves to check out a book from the library, sit down with a snack, and read for hours. She reads books in both English and French, so selecting a title sometimes takes a long time.
8. Alison wants to buy a hybrid car this year. As a result, she will spend less money on gas and also help the environment.
9. Either my parents will drive us to the movies, or we will take the bus.

10. Pythons are not venomous snakes, so they squeeze the life out of their prey rather than poison it. Though they are large enough to suffocate a person, pythons are generally not dangerous to humans.

Exercise Two
1. Aidan James is an excellent pitcher, and his father is an excellent pitcher too.
2. Cell phones have become ubiquitous, consequently some people like them and some people hate them.
3. Digital cameras have made taking photos easier, therefore digital cameras have made developing photos cheaper.
4.When Charles Dickens wrote Great Expectations, he was paid by the word, also when
Victor Hugo wrote Les Miserables he was paid by the word as well. Some speculate that this contributed to the descriptive style of both authors.
5. I learned how to type in high school. This was one of the most important classes that I took because I type all the time.
