Anouk Aimee Movie Analysis
Anouk Aimee was spectacular in the film. Her portrayal of the intelligent, modern woman was shown through her air of weary acceptance throughout the film. Her sense of style is simple, yet classy. On the other hand, Guido’s mistress Carla (Sandra Milo) is the complete opposite. She is a doxy who reads Donald Duck comics after sex and dresses, in what she considers, couture. The contrast between these two women shows Guido’s lust for companionship and guilt for his wife.
