    Starting in 2012, baseball changed completely. This is because of the fact that in January of 2012, the BBCOR (Bat-Ball Coefficient of Restitution) regulation came into effect. This rule is specified for baseball bats and was created because of the constant injuries happening in baseball because of the extreme force or “pop” that most BESR (Ball Exit Speed Ratio) certified bats had.
