The total marks or this assessment is 50 marks. There are 15 marks awarded for each plan and 20 marks awarded for the CD/video recording of one plan.
Learners will receive a NOT YET COMPETENT, COMPETENT WITH PASS,
COMPETENT WITH CREDIT or COMPETENT WITH DISTINCTION in accordance with TAFE NSW Assessment Guidelines.
This assessment is worth 25% of the total result for this unit.
Devise two experience plans using the suggested format. These plans need to be based upon the interests of two (2) children you have chosen from the Summerville
Service. They need to be developmentally appropriate and serve to foster an appreciation and involvement within music and movement.
At least one of these plans should reference cultural diversity.
Your plans need to: identify the developmental skills and musical concept/s you will be focusing on within this experience (2marks) list the materials, equipment or props you will need to present the experience

Submit both of these plans using the Experience plan format. Please use your own paper, copying the template headings.

Implementation of one Plan
You need to select one (1) of these plans and video or digitally record yourself implementing this plan. Access to children is necessary. The focus is on the learner and your ability to present a diverse, interesting and appropriate musical experience.
If you work in a service, you may include a small group in your implementation.
Please ensure appropriate permission has been obtained from the service or families.
The implementation of your experience should take from 15 to 20 minutes. Please include full versions of songs and recorded music used. Clearly label your recording with your OTEN bar code.
The emphasis is on your competence in delivering their plan in accordance with the criteria below:
Identify the activities and musical concept/s you will be focusing on within this experience. (2 marks)
Provide a range of materials, equipment or props to present the experience.(2
