Almond shares in her book how religion, political and medical issues sway the issue on abortion laws. This book will be used in my essay to help me relate the reasons why abortion is right for some and why it is immoral for others.
Baulieu, Etienne-Emile, and Mort Rosenbaum. The "Abortion Pill." 7th ed. New York: Simon & Schuster, 1991. Print. In this book Dr. Baulieu explains his reason for creating the morning after pill. Baulieu gives a history and the consequences of abortion. He, also, argues in his book why the RU-486 pill should not be considered abortion, but instead RU-486 should be looked at as a pill that is a form of birth control. I 'm going to use his reasoning to give information about how the morning after pill came into existence

They record this to show the trends in the amount of abortion and the amount of birth control being prescribed to American women. They monitor the individual reasons for abortions. Some of the reasons are due to rape, incest, birth defects and unplanned, or unwanted pregnancies. Their data dates back to 1979 to the year 2012. I think this data will be beneficial in showing my audience how abortion has fluctuated over the past few years. I will use this along with my historical information to provide facts in my essay.

Landau adresses comments made by parties on both sides of the debate on whether the morning after pill should be sold to anyone without a prescription. In this article Nicholas does a good job at articulating the relaxed attitude that these women have acquired of having unprotected sex since the morning after pill has become available to the market without a prescription. While this article is dated and it applied to the old law of seventeen and above I think it shows how relaxed this has made safe sex.
