Anne Frank

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to hide during a war? During the war Anne Frank was able to survive by being kind to her fellows, sharing her items, staying quite the whole time in hiding, and more other ways. Anne Frank is a survivor of World War Two, she survived by hiding out in a building that they then called home; she was selfless, but she also stayed quiet, If she did not hide she would be miss treated for her religion with she chooses to believe, so she went on hiding for two and a half years, she had to live with her family and with others she stayed kind to, at least up until she was caught and sent to a concentration camp. People would consider Anne to be kind because she helped others out with whatever they were in need

She either use her money and got something for them or handmade it for them. Helped the others out with their chores if they didn't have time on their own to do it. She shared her own food if the others didn’t feel they have gotten enough. Also she was caring because most of the time she thought of others before herself.
She was also quiet. She didn’t talk really all. Didn’t really talk until she was spoken to. She also did talk unless there was like an argument and she felt that her input was needed to be spoken. She stayed quiet the whole time in the daytime so they would not get caught. Her and Margot were the ones that didn't really talk at all. Even Anne was the one that talked more than Margot.
All things considered, Anne Frank is my example of survival. My reasons for Anne to be a good example, is my three points listed above. My first point is to show how Anne survived being kind. The second one is to show how Anne survived being selfless. Last but not least, my last example of how Anne survived the Holocaust is how quite Anne was during the war. So do you still wondered what it would be like to hide during a

Anne writes about the changes she begins seeing in herself. On Saturday, March 25, 1944, Anne wrote “You never realize how much you have changed until after it’s happened. I have changed quite drastically, everything about me is different: my opinions, ideas, critical outlook. Inwardly, outwardly, nothing is the same. And, I might safely add, since It is true, I have changed for the better” (234). Here, Anne indicates that change can be a good thing. Often people see change as a negative, but Anne deals with it in a positive manner. Although everything going on around her seems to be going downhill, Anne finds the courage to change herself for the better. Anne Frank was always accountable for herself and her actions. On Saturday, July 15, 1944, Anne said “I have a great deal of self-knowledge. In everything I do, I can watch myself as if I were a stranger. I can stand across from the everyday Anne and, without being biased or making excuses, watch what she is doing, both the good and the bad. This self-awareness never leaves me, and every time I open my mouth, I think ‘you should have said that differently’ or ‘that is fine the way it is’ (325). Anne Frank never made excuses or blamed other people for her problems or actions. She took responsibility for her faults and made a vow to change them. Anne’s questioning herself is a method of self-evaluation, which serves, once again, to make herself a better person.…

Although Anne didn’t live through the end of the war, she still ended up making the best out of what she had in the attic. Anne found that the best way to respond to her having to stay in hiding was by persevering through everything against her. In an excerpt from “Dear Miss Breed” Louise Ogawa was forced from her home to go to Japanese internment camps in Poston, Arizona with terrible conditions like temperatures of up to 144 degrees. Louise was actually forced from her home to go to the camp and live through the harsh conditions. Louise, like many others during conflicts, had only one option: to persevere through everything against her.…

During this assignment, I learned firsthand just how hard it was for Anne and her family along with all the other families during the holocaust. Early on as I began this assignment, I grabbed a text book and began to take notes for another class. Right there is when I realized just what a struggle it must have been for Anne. How could she write so much in her diary when she could barely see what she was writing? I know this because the blinds in my room are white and let some light in, while her windows had to be completely blacked out.…

Anne developed a respectful reputation during her early years in New England as a midwife, healer and a devout Christian. It was because of this reputation and her general magnetic personality that drew people to her. She was an intelligent woman, which was rare, so people wanted to listen to what she had to say. This would have been fine, except what she wanted to talk about was her religious beliefs. A woman preaching in a Puritan rich colony was unacceptable and was not to be tolerated. Although, the strong willed Anne, who finally had the freedom to express her religious beliefs was not about to quit.…

All of their family members were there to support each other when it was needed. In addition, they hid along with other families who were also being persecuted by the Nazis. She has learned that through hard times she can still find the happiness in life and can focus on them. Anne did not just make it through challenging times, she thrived through challenging times. We all should notice that no matter what was going on, Anne was seeing the joy and good in not only life, but in people as well. She showed us who she really was through this life changing experience. Anne demonstrates that we should keep our head held high when we face the struggles of life. If Anne Frank can see the good in things while being persecuted, I know I can. I have learned from the Holocaust that no matter who you are, what you look like, your race, religion, or anything you can think of, we are equal. Now you are probably thinking, “shouldn’t she already know that?” The Holocaust has helped me to see it in a different way. It also showed me how cruel and selfish humans can be and how cruel and selfish I can be. A lesson all humans should know is that we are one. We are equal. Anne once said, “‘I don’t think of all the misery, but the beauty that still remains,’”…
