The Diary of Anne Frank: Summative Assessment
Imagine crying little children. Imagine having to run away, leaving everything behind. Imagine shooting and bombings everywhere. There are many intolerant things that have happened in the past and are still happening today. Intolerance is the act of refusal to tolerate or respect people or person of a different social group. For example, the holocaust. Many things during the holocaust were intolerable. Many people were killed just because they believed in a different belief. The same thing is currently happening in Iraq. Christians are forced to leave their homes and are killed in Iraq because they either don’t want to or don’t worship ISIS’ Islamic god, Allah. In both, “Anne Frank’s Diary” by Anne Frank and the article “ISIS: The world’s newest holocaust” show many things that are intolerable.

Christians’ “places of worship are being decimated and holy sites are being destroyed.” The ISIS government is trying to get rid of everything that relates to Christians, trying to stop them from believing in what they believe in. Just like the ISIS government, Adolph Hitler tried “ an ethnic cleansing of a religious people — the Jews.” ISIS killing all non-muslims in the article, “ISIS: The world’s newest holocaust” is similar to Hitler in a way because they are both show discrimination and hatred to other religions. In “Anne Frank’s Diary”, Hitler wanted to exterminate Jews because he had a hatred for different religions. Just like Hitler, ISIS is trying to exterminate non-muslims because they have hatred towards other religions. ISIS is identifying Christians by marking them with “Arabic letter " ن ‎" representing the word “Nasarah” the Arabic word for Nazarene meaning — Christian.” That is just like the yellow Star Of David with represented terror and death for the
