Anne Frank: A Teen Role Model
Anne Frank is known as a notorious teen role model for her courageous endeavors during Hitler’s reign. Annelies Marie Frank was given the first breath of life on June 12, 1929. She was born in Frankfurt, Germany to Otto and Edith Frank. Anne would live her whole life knowing more than meets the eye and keeping record in her diary. Anne and her family were caught in their hiding place in the Netherlands and sent to concentration camps where many perished. Otto, Anne’s father makes it back to an unexpected discovery. Annelies Marie Frank, a courageous teen, 20th century author of her diary that later is published, made an impact on society when she started to realize the events that were going on and writing about them, fleeing to Amsterdam, keeping a diary of her life and the true horrors, and the concentration camp where Anne spent her final days. However, despite rough spots in Anne’s life she still managed to live a decent childhood. …show more content…
Anne and her family lived in a very diverse neighborhood in the outskirts of Frankfurt, Germany. They “were a typical upper middle-class German-Jewish family living in a quiet, religiously diverse neighborhood.” However, Anne was born when things started drastically changing in Germany’s society that would soon “disrupt the peace and happiness of many German-Jews.” Hitler soon became the chancellor of Germany in 1933 and that is when the Frank family decided it was time to flee. They moved to the Netherlands where Anne attended “Amsterdam’s Sixth Montessori School in 1934.” In school she had many friends of all religions and races, German, Dutch, Jewish, Christian. She was a “very bright and inquisitive student.” Although, her life was cut fairly short and she only lived to see the age of sixteen after being captured and put into a concentration
