Annabel Lee Research Paper
“Annabel Lee” by the infamous poet, Edgar Allan Poe, is without a doubt the greatest poem of all-time. The poem was published in 1849 and is about a man’s beautiful young wife dying (Shmoop). The first reason for this is that it carries a significant historical piece to it which is that it was the last major poem by arguably the best poet, Edgar Allan Poe, and was published immediately after his mysterious death, which provides it with an interesting background. Katherine Johnson’s mathematical ability and achievement should be implemented into educational curriculum. The fact that her story has been completely hidden for many years from history and the public formulates a multitude of complications that society deals with today. First and foremost, the current narrative is an unfair portrayal of the story that excludes a historically marginalized group of individuals, African American women in STEM. It also muddles the importance of being an engineer or mathematician in a technologically advancing world. Luckily, some progress has been attempted by a few news outlets throughout the last three decades. Since 2006 I've watched a number of Sandra Lee's "Semi-Homemade Cooking" episodes on The food Network; what captivated me from the beginning was both Sandra Lee's impeccable personal style and the elegance of her kitchen, which she changes for each episode. Sandra Lee is remarkably easy on the eyes - a modern-day throwback to the style, grace and beauty of the 1950's. That crispness is what she represents. Sandra Lee's originality is beyond compare and while she gives credit to her beloved paternal grandmother for instilling in her the love of baking and decorating, Sandra Lee's inventiveness is entirely her own. Many have grown up in challenging circumstances but not everyone can tastefully design a small apartment with inexpensive fabrics.…

Annabel Lee is a short, yet fascinating poem about young love and a love lost. In Annabel Lee, the narrator describes a love that he and the young maiden Annabel Lee have for each other as so great the angels in heaven blow a cold wind out of a cloud that makes Annabel Lee sick and eventually kills her. But their love is so great that no one on earth, heaven, or hell can separate their souls from each other, not even death. The use of an afterlife in this piece is obvious since the angels in heaven were the ones who took the narrator’s loved ones away from him. “Yes! --- that was the reason (as all men know,…
