Keeping animals in zoos constitutes one of the greatest injustices of all time. Zoos keep animals mainly for public viewing. If truly animals were kept to avoid extinction, then we would have conservatories dedicated for that purpose. Furthermore, if you view animals at the zoo you will see that these animals spend most of their existence trying to escape. For the most part these animals do not want to be kept in captivity. Opponents respond that the removal of wild animals from their habitat is wrong, that they should be left in their natural surroundings and not used as tools for public entertainment.
