Animal Testing On Animals
Over 100 million animals are injured and killed each year due to the horrible effects of animal testing. Although all animals feel the same emotions as humans, such as feeling happy, sad, scared and even lonely. Scientists see animals other than the daily house house pet simply as mere tools for their experiments. Animals from mice to monkeys have intelligence and deserve to be loved and cared for just as much as an other animal. whether it be a pet or an endangered species. Many processes and procedures of animal testing involve the mistreatment of innocent creatures.“The traumatized animals, like human victims of torture—suffer from severe anxiety, depression, hair loss and other physical and mental illnesses …show more content…
Trull). Although some scientists claim that animals help them to better understand diseases, studies show that animal testing rarely has an effect on the research needed and on humans in general. Humans and animals do not get the same types of diseases, therefore testing treatments for these diseases on animals is rarely effective. There more effective alternatives to animal testing that less expensive and are cruelty free. Stimulators used in military bases have been proven to represent humans increasingly better than the previous tests using animals. Vitro methods which include human stem cells and tissue examination have a faster and even cheaper result than any other animal testing procedure. The new technology shows for better and more accurate results on research that was previously done using …show more content…
Animals everywhere across the U.S suffer for their lives due to the so called “benefits” of animal testing. There are many different alternatives to the procedures used in animal experimentation that even have a better result than the results received from animal testing. Not only are pointless tests done on animals but painful and disturbing tests are done on animals without of the knowledge of the procedure will have any effect on the research. Not only are animals endangered and haunted by disturbing memories that will never be forgotten, but they are also injured and killed due to the horrific practice known as animal testing. Animal testing is not only cruel but unnecessary and must to be put to a

An estimated 26 million animals are used every year in the United States for scientific and commercial testing. [2] Proponents of animal testing state that it has enabled the development of numerous life-saving treatments for both humans and animals, while opponents state that animal testing is cruel and often yields irrelevant results because animals are so different from human beings. Many different animals are used in scientific studies such as rabbits, mice, primates, dogs, cats, pigs, and cows. I believe that animal testing is beneficial because it provides opportunities to improve the lives of both humans and animals.…

Animal testing, is also known as animal experiments in the act of using non-human animals in research, to develop projects or scientific experiments. Statistics show that each year, there are millions of animals such as cats, dogs, mice, rats, ferret, hamsters and monkeys that experience mental and physical torture due to scientific research. Although most people agree that animal testing is horrible and cruel, there are few who this is it necessary to find new medicines. During the experiments, the animals are forced to inhale or sallow large amounts of test substances. Which are often found to be poisonous and toxic. The largest concern, is that animals are being used in experiments and not humans. Meaning that the results might or might not be useful for all the humans. Million of animals are suffering from poor conditions of living, and then to…

Therefore most of these animal tests are inaccurate. Diseases that may develop in humans are genetically engineered differently than any other animal. This relates back to the unethical side, as millions of animals are being tortuously killed just to be disposed of. Animal tests have no way of predicting the outcomes or results on a human, medical treatment is very specific to the individual being treated. Prescribed medicines are unique and are tweaked to work for that human specifically, testing on a whole new species does not effectively correspond to the human body.…

Animal testing, also known as animal experimentation, or in vivo testing, often uses non-human animals in experiments to test the safety of products and has been a topic of heated debate for decades. Although some research uses animals only for natural behaviors observation, F. Barbara Orlans claimed in her book, In the Name of Science: Issues in Responsible Animal Experimentation, that more than sixty percent of all animals used in animal testing suffer from experiment procedure or even get killed in biomedical research and product-safety testing. On the one hand, successful animal testing can lead to medical cures and treatments for human beings, on the other hand, opponents are doubting the reliability of animal…

An estimated 26 million animals are used every year in the United States fir various types of testing. These animals are used for scientific and commercial testing to develop medical treatments, determine toxicity of medications and chemicals, check the safety of products destined for human use and other biomedical or healthcare purposes. This testing on animals is cruel, inhumane and should be banned. It should be banned because the animals are held and live in inhumane conditions, it is harmful and at times lethal to the animals and there are other research method available that do not require animal testing.…

Every year millions of animals are subjected to horrible unethical experimentations in order to advance medical science. Dogs, cats, monkeys, mice, and other animals are kept in dark rooms in cages while being exposed to various toxic and poisonous substances daily in order to test how the substance may react in humans. These poor creatures suffer from inhumane treatments and are denied any form of happiness, and these experiments should cease and alternatives should be used instead. Animal testing is a cruel and ineffective medical practice that produces unreliable results and those laboratories should use safer alternatives that will provide more accurate results.…

The facilities imprison millions of animals and exhaust millions of dollars to cause pain and suffering that are irrelevant to the diagnosis of the human well-being. Universities, hospitals, contract laboratories, pharmaceutical companies, and government agencies contribute to unethical animal testing. The cruel living conditions and senseless torture of these animals goes unnoticed by the majority of worldwide citizens. It is important that we bring this heinous practice to the attention of those who are unaware of these unethical procedures.…

Not only humans, but animals also benefit from the use of animal testing. In fact, if animals aren’t used for medical research certain vaccines for rabies, hepatitis and other diseases wouldn’t be curable (Trull). However, many people argue that the human anatomy differs from that of animals. Nonetheless, animals and humans still share common features. For example, monkeys, just like humans, share the same fundamental use of hormones to counteract infections, which has helped scientist improve research (Trull). For the people who doubt animal testing should go to hospitals and look at patients who have survived from illnesses and diseases, because if it had not been for animals lives wouldn’t be…

Research can be done in a tube or container that contains human cells and tissues which is an exceptional substitute as opposed to animal testing. This method contains more advantages, including efficient simplification and improved accuracy of eventuality. Computerized testing is another method which collects data records and side effects of particular drugs and chemicals without any unnecessary pain towards a living animal. Computer models can easily replicate a human, which can simulate increasingly precise results of medicines and diseases, as well as furthering our knowledge and understanding of the effects. Although it is commonly claimed that the outcome of a distinctive trial will have no effect on an animal, it is not proven to have the same ramifications on a person. The apparent benefits from the tests are not proven to be adequate or safe for human use or consumption. Various government agencies have filed reports clearly stating that animal testing is not accurately measured or evaluated for substantial reliability and…

Each year, millions of animals suffer and die in the process of inhumane testing for the purposes of drug and chemical research, and medical experiments and training exercises. Animals including cats, dogs, rabbits, and mice are force fed harmful substances that are infected with lethal viruses causing reactions like brain damage, strokes, and heart attacks. Not only are these experiments painful to the animals and sometimes fatal, but also they fail to accurately reflect human reactions and are not required by the FDA.…

In 1859, Charles Darwin's evolutionary theory reinforced the conception that animals could serve as models for humans in the study of biology and physiology. Animal testing plays a large important role in pharmaceutical and medical advances, but many question the mortality of such use of the animal’s life. More than 100 million aninals are used for testing every single year. Animal testing has brought a lot of positive and negative outcome and there are many different opinions regarding it.…
