Animal Testing Inaccurate
Animal testing has lead to the deaths of animals in horrible ways and is very inhumane, with modern technology we shouldn’t have to resort to such awful actions and we don’t need to there are many alternatives to animal testing and the alternatives can be cheaper and more accurate.

Most animal testing is very inaccurate because human beings have different chemistry than animals, some animals are similar to humans but they have gaps that can prevent or make false cures that can do more harm than help that is why animals are given medicine that people are not prescribed. “U.S. Food and Drug Administration found that 92 percent of drugs entering clinical trials following animal testing fail to be approved. Of those approved, half are withdrawn

It might not be efficient at testing medicine because you will want to see how it affects human organs but you can also grow cells which is a lot more expensive but you can selectively choose what cells you want to grow like liver or muscle cells of anything. With this possibility the only reason to keep animal testing would be because of greed. “skin corrosivity and irritation can be easily measured using three-dimensional human skin equivalent systems such as EpiDerm and SkinEthic. Additional alternatives include EpiSkin (a model of reconstructed human epithelium) and a variety of sophisticated, computer-based Quantitative Structure Activity Relationship (QSAR) models that predict skin corrosivity and irritation by means of correlating a new drug or chemical with its likely activity, properties, and effects with classification accuracy between 90 and 95 percent”(NEAVS, …show more content…
Human beings must avoid tzar baalei chayim - causing pain to any living creature. God himself makes a covenant with the animals, just as he does with humanity.
The Talmud specifically instructs Jews not to cause pain to animals, and there are also several Bible stories which use kindness to animals as a demonstration of the virtues of leading Jewish figures.
Judaism also teaches that it is acceptable to harm or kill animals if that is the only way to fulfil an essential human

Animal testing is wasteful, useless, and dangerous. The experiments that are done on these animals are gruesome. Bountiful amounts of people (about 62% in 2004 according to Heather Mason Kiefer) argue that animal testing is necessary in order to produce safe products. On the contrary, several studies have found these methods to be questionable. They lack accurate, safe results.…

Overall, animal testing is erroneous because it does not contribute anything meaningfully to the world. When animals are tested often the results are irrelevant, due to the fact, animals have many differences from humans. Also, the animals endure poor conditions. Lastly, the animals’ lives are wasted by being tested on products that are not important. Testing animals is abusive and needs to…

As a result of this, nine out of every ten trial medicines that look safe and appear to be effective on animals, fail when they are given to humans. Because animals don’t react the same way as humans, not only do the failed tests delay medical progress, but also they are a waste of animal’s lives, and a waste of money that is spent into the research and tests. Animals have different anatomic, cellular, and metabolic structures than humans have. If a new product is passed just because it is safe on animals and isn’t on humans, that could be a very dangerous situation. One instance when this occurred was in 1950 when a sleeping pill worked on animals but when given to humans it caused 10,000 babies to be born with severe birth defects. Another time, a drug for arthritis was safe on mice but when administered to humans caused 27,000 heart attacks and sudden cardiac deaths. Animal testing can make researchers oversea potential cures and treatments. Some substances that are harmful to animals, are helpful to humans. For example, aspirin is dangerous to some animals. Arthur Allen says, “A source of human suffering may be the dozens of promising drugs that get shelved when they cause problems in animals that may not be relevant for humans.” (“Of Mice or Men: The Problems with Animal Testing”). Of all the medicines that pass animal trials and are ready for human…

Regulatory agencies across the globe make it mandatory for companies to get their 'products' tested for toxicity before making them available in the market. These 'products', which range from prescription drugs to cosmetics, are tested on animals to check for the degree of skin irritation, skin penetration, eye irritation, carcinogenicity, etc. On the basis of these tests, it is determined whether the said product is fit for human use or not.…

In animal testing, countless animals are experimented on and then killed after their use is up. Some are injured and will still live the remainder of their life in captivity. The doctors will not do anything to help the animals that are in pain that happen to be the reason because of them. It is the aspect of animals testing that many view as a major negative against the practice, as it seems that the animal died in vain because no direct benefit to humans occurred. Even though animals and humans have many things in common like how we both have the same organ system, there are also many things that are different between animals and humans. Many animals cannot handle or take the same medication as humans, most the surgeries that are operated on animals are just too strong for an animal to take so they end up dying or sick for the rest of their lives. (Animal Testing…

Research shows that 26 million animals have been used for testing of all different kinds. 26 million animals have been put through wringer for the sake of a human. 26 million animals have had no say, defense, or chance to save themselves. Animals are used as human experiments to see if a certain product can work or not. Animal testing is wrong on many different levels. If humans are not willing to use, test and experiment on themselves, why should one be allowed to test on an animal who has no say in what happens.…

So that means that some believe animal testing is unreliable. This could be because the animals are in an unnatural environment they could be under a lot of stress, causing their bodies to react differently to the drug being tested. Therefore, they won 't react to the drugs in the same way compared to their potential reaction in a natural environment.…

Many of the new alternatives methods can range from using 3-D models of the human body or even using real life human subjects which can be donated for the use of science. A skin equivalent can be comparable to the natural skin of humans and therefore it is an alternative method to animal testing (Mertsching, Weimer, Kersen, & Brunner, 1/4). The Authors indicate that the skin equivalent is generated out of human keratinocytes on a collagen substrate containing human dermal fibroblast (Mertching et al., 2/4). For the alternative method, it allows for applications of testing of an array of drugs and products used for daily life without using animals and produce accurate results because of how close the resemblance is and the biological structure to humans. Some of the test they can do on the skin can be used for testing the various parts of the body and different symptoms. With animal testing coming under fire and criticism scientists try to find ways to not use animals. A different approach of animal testing was taken by Unilever in collaboration with Entelos Inc. Which is a computer based-mathematical model (Vandebriel, & Loveren 397). The use of a computer based models will help obtain the understandings of the tests the scientists do without using any animals. With computers they can create a model of the human body and use the info they gathered to construct a model that will be accurate when testing. They can also get info about the knowledge gap also they will be able to integrate the different ways using the alternative testing data. With the data they can put together the info they gathered with the other testing methods to make a model on the computer that will be more…
