This statement is true in George Orwell’s allegorical novella “Animal Farm.” The attitudes of the animals of Manor Farm (later changed to Animal Farm) change depending on who is in charge of it. Under Mr. Jones’ rule, the animals were overworked, tired and starved, and they did work only to avoid being beaten.
