Angelina Jolie
On June 4, 1975, Angelina Jolie Voight was born to actors John Voight and Marcheline Bertrand. However, when Angelina was just 6 months old her parents split up. When she was 6 years old she was obsessed with death and she said that she would be a funeral director in the future. As she grew up, Angelina was no stranger to the acting industry. When she was only 7 she starred in a movie, “Lookin’ to Get Out”, with her parents. At age 11, she began to study at the famous Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. As Angelina went on to her teenage years, things started to become more complicated for her. The relationship she had with her father was destroyed. She once stated that she felt as if he was never there for her growing up. That’s why she cut off her last name Voight and only became known as Angelina Jolie. She felt as if that was the only way she could escape her father and his ways. As Jolie started to become more famous, she started to get more attention from the press. In 1996, she married “Hackers” co-star Johnny Lee Miller. At their wedding, she had displayed his name on the back of her shirt written in her own blood. Shortly after her divorce from Miller, she got married to former “Pushing Tin” co-star, Billy Bob Thornton. This relationship caused a lot of controversy because of the fact that he was 20 years older than her. The two professed their love by carrying a vial of each other’s blood on their neck. The marriage slowly fell apart and ended in divorce in 2002. One of the filming locations for her new movie was in Cambodia. While she was there she was introduced to a different part of the world that she never been introduced to before. She saw the culture and poverty of Cambodia. From that moment on, Jolie vowed to change her life for the better. The humanitarian chapter of her life had begun. She began to travel to refugee camps around the world and was soon appointed as
