Analyze The Causes Of The Civil War

The Civil War began when the Northern and Southern parts of the United States grew along different terms. The South wanted to become an independent nation and remained an economy based on agriculture while the North became more industrialized. When the social, economic, and political views surfaced, it led to disagreements on issues between the North and South. The Civil War was a pivotal event that influenced important historical events that led to the reconstruction of the nation (“The Political Struggle”).

The North’s determination during the Civil War was to strengthen the federal government. In order to achieve a strong and powerful federal government, the North needed to have an infrastructure in areas where the industry thrived. This meant more railroads, canals, and roads. The South
As a result, there were 11 Southern states that established their own Government known as the Confederate States of America (Roark, 382). They declared their secession publicly from the United States and strongly maintained the notion of slavery. Slavery was a vital part of Southern society, while the felt threatened; they were convinced that they should strive for independence by seceding (Roark, 403). Southerners anticipated that the threat of secession would force acceptance of demands, but it did not. The Union declared this act as unlawful and ultimately headed to the manifestation of the Civil War.

The fighting of the Civil War was the most inevitable event in American history with a loss of thousands of lives.
