Romeo Character Analysis
I chose to analyze Romeo, because I think that Romeo has many characteristics and there is a lot to explain about him. Also Romeo changes in the story line many times; he can also have many different characteristics at the same time. Romeo is a type of man that if he wants something he will try his best to get it.
Romeo is a very depressed, sad man at the beginning of the play because he loves a woman but he can’t love because of the feud between their two families.     Wisely and slow, they stumble that run fast” (Shakespeare 2.3.99). This quote by Friar Lawrence in William Shakespeare’s play, Romeo and Juliet, perfectly sums up two different types of relationships. One of which is represented by Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet, who run fast into their love even though their families have a seemingly unending feud. They attempt to keep their relationship secret, which causes complications and ultimately ends in their death that barriers their families feud. A similar, but slower, relationship, which is the second type, is formed as a friendship between Lennie and George, in Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, who are ranch hands that end up working on a farm in the Salinas Valley. They spend the majority of their lives together, George, small and smart, and Lennie, bigger but less intelligent, until trouble with a man on the ranch named Curley and his wife leads to George killing Lennie.     Is love even a real thing, Romeo and Juliet is a play written by William Shakespeare. The story is about two star cross’d lovers that end up killing themselves over what they call “love”. (Document: A) In the story the Capulets and Montagues already hate each other, the families start fighting which escalates the hatred between them. Two teenagers Romeo and Juliet meet at a party and instantly fall in love, not knowing that they are enemies at first but they soon come to find out. They exchange vows so Romeo goes to Friar Lawrence who is a monk that lives in the church. He asks Friar to marry them, and Friar ends up marrying them. Everything was going fine until Tybalt Juliet's cousin wants to fight Romeo, Romeo insist on not fighting him because he is Juliet's cousin. So Mercutio who is Romeo’s best friend decides to fight Tybalt, Tybalt stabs Mercutio and he dies so Romeo wants revenge. Romeo finds Tybalt and begins fighting him and kills him.     Romeo: The son of Montague, Romeo is first introduced to us as a sad, melancholic, apathetic youth. His reason for sadness is universal; Rosaline his love will not return his affections.
