Analysis TEirraPorter
If I was a private computer consultant, and a client has approached me about upgrading his small business network. Since each workstation has 1 gigabyte of memory and a 1.8 gigahertz processor. The video card can support DirectX9 and have windows display driver model (WDDM) drivers available from the manufacturer. I would also update to windows server 2008 R2. Upgrading to windows server 2008 R2, will bring a lot more functionality as well as the updated file transfer protocol that server services fixing many of the main problems that is acquiring and accessing the server files for your workstations. This is designed to decrease boot time, improve speeds of storage like devices and efficiently use of processing power to all new authentication features. I would upgrade the computers and servers to, Windows 7 Professional. This is intended to be the premium retail versions for small to medium sized businesses. Another important part is to update the hardware components. this edition is going to allow you to be able to have the maximum amount of random access memory at 32 Gigabytes, and this is going to allow you to have up to four physical CPU’S installed. This is going to cost you a little more money, but in the long run you computers and your servers and workstations, is going to be able to host everything simultaneously accessing files. We would also need to update the memory that you would have, to at least double the amount you currently are using. The memory is going to effect the, computers performance. I would also recommend using the user state migration tool 4.0. This is going to be designed for large-scale enterprises deployment, user state migration tool is a command lime that utility that can migrate profile information for multiple users on multiple computers. This way when you upgrade to windows 7, you will not exactly have to lose all the information that you have stored on the computers.

Solution: The update also removes the ability for this codec to be loaded when browsing the Internet with any other applications. By only allowing applications to use the Indeo codec when the media content is from the local system or from the intranet zone, and by preventing Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player from launching the codec at all, this update removes the most common remote attack vectors but still allows games or other applications that leverage the codec…

Mr. Green does not seem to have any interest in a Windows-based server up-front, meaning he will have to use the sharing or home group capabilities found within each computer’s operating system. Mr. Green needs to take into account the fact that Windows 7 Ultimate has little to no benefit over Windows 7 Professional as far as networking is concerned. The only added features he will get with Ultimate include the pre-installation of extra languages, and a service called Bit Locker. Bit Locker is an encryption software similar to an array of open source alternatives found on the internet, so if Mr. Green does not employ non-English speaking employees, he can save a good bit of money buying Windows 7 Professional. With Windows 7 Professional, he also maintains the ability to connect to a domain network if he was to purchase a real server running Windows SBS or Windows Server as his business grows.…

The answer I selected was C, because solution that was proposed does not achieve the required results but does achieve one of the optional results. CAT 5 UTP cables being installed to the current networks will not satisfy the any of the results required or optional. The hub should be replaced by a switch which can support the speeds that some of the equipment can handle in this case is upwards of 100 mbps due to the adapter cards. These are options that can be addressed as the company grows, and by installing the higher speed cards it limits the possible future costs of upgrading. Increasing the RAM may help to increase speeds, but purchasing additional servers would be more beneficial in the long term allowing room for growth. While the information provided does not state the amount of ram, additional servers would in fact speed up the network, free up traffic and allow for growth.…
