WELCOME

1.1 The meeting commenced with a prayer by Ms. Horsford-Redman. She thanked all attendees for attending the 12th Bimonthly Concessionaires Meeting.

2.0 CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES

2.1 Amendments of Minutes:

2.1.1 Item 7.2.1 “with”

2.1.2 Item 7.1 “Attendees were informed that all accidents or incidents must be officially reported to Airports Authority.”

2.2 Confirmation of Minutes:

2.2.1 The minutes for the 11th Bi-monthly Concessionaires Meeting was confirmed by Ms. Easlean Thomas and seconded by Ms. Sharon Alfred.

3.0 UPGRADE OF THE CONCESSIONAIRES AREA

3.1 No update on the heightening of the wall in the sweet stall vendor’s area. Issues encountered with obtaining material due to difficulties with boat sailings.

A request was made for persons to use the Emergency Phone when required and not for reasons, other than its intended use.

9.0 OTHER DISCUSSIONS

9.1 Attendees were reminded to officially report all accidents and/or incidents to Airports Authority. Airport Authority is called on for information when matters reach before the court.

9.2 Mrs. Redman informed attendees that Turpial Airlines had a chartered flight to Tobago arriving on Wednesday 30th, 2017 at 6:00pm and departing on September 03rd, 2017.

9.3 Mrs. Redman stated that safety and security is everyone’s concern. An incident occurred where AATT-Security Personnel required assistance and no one assisted.

9.3.1 Mr. Roberts stated that AATT-Security is usually short staff. Taxi personnel are accosted by non-operators and no security personnel is present to assist.

9.4 Mr. John questioned why non-operators were allowed to operate and taxi operators are required to obtain pass, training and approval. He further stated that officers are observed in friendly conversations with non-operators.

9.4.1 ASP Quash requested that Taxi operators notify her office or the Inspectors when same

9.5.2 ASP Quash suggested the use of the PA System and signs to alert passengers of unauthorized taxi operations.

9.6 Mr. Rostant stated that he is an appointed member of the newly formed Tourism Committee. He further stated that all concessionaires should adhere to the Authority’s request to ensure their services/operations meet International standards.

9.7 Mr. Roberts stated that vehicles for rent are being parked in the Taxi-drivers assigned parking area. He further stated that an AATT officer was parked in the area and refused to move on more than one occasion.

9.7.1 Mrs. Redman requested that Taxi-drivers alert the ASP’s office whenever such incidents occur.

9.8 Mr. Bernard stated that he observed AATT officers and other members parking their vehicles for rent in the Staff Car Park. These vehicles do not have the AATT Vehicle Stickers.

9.8.1 Insp. Dennis stated that one of the officers have a sticker and is also a member of the Taxi Association. The matter is being
