Lamb to the Slaughter The story, “Lamb to the Slaughter” is a revolting tale of a woman who commits a pre-meditated murder on her husband’s behalf. The story began with a housewife named Mary Maloney, in her sixth month of pregnancy, waiting in her corridor for her husband to arrive home from work.
