Analysis Of Just Another Hero By Sharon M. Draper
This book Just Another Hero written by Sharon M. Draper has two main characters. They go back and forth, telling the story from a first person point of view. Those characters are Kofi and Arielle. Kofi is a smart person that seems to be collected to the outside world, but on the inside he is a mess. He has become addicted to prescription pain killers, his dad gambles like crazy and his mom often parties all night long. Arielle is a compassionate person, but she too has problems. She has a crazy stepfather that will punish her for any small wrong that she commits and a mother who she feels does not understand her. Some of the other characters involved in this book are Osrick, Jack, and November. Osrick is a quiet boy that is great with technology.

    How does one achieve hero status? To me, there are two definitions of hero, (1) a person who is regarded as a model that is respected for qualities or achievements, and (2) anyone that in the face of danger and adversity or from a position of weakness displays courage and the will for self-sacrifice. The heroes or heroines in The Help are the latter. The Help by Kathryn Stockett is a novel about black maids in Jackson, Mississippi in 1962. The black maids work with Skeeter Phelan, a young white woman, to write a tell-all book about what it’s like to work as a black maid in the white homes of the segregated South. The chapters are narrated through the eyes of the three main heroes—Aibileen, Minny, and Skeeter.
