Analysis Of Benny And Joon By Davidh Chechik
In the short film we have been studying; Benny and Joon directed by Jeremiah Chechik in 1993, I will be describing the start of the film and explaining why I thought it was memorable.

One reason why i thought the start was memorable was at the start there was a close up of hanging door knobs and throughout the movie there is a series of opening and closing doors. From my perspective i think that the director did this skilfully and showed it by opening a new path until it leads you to something good once there, there will be another door to open. This was done skilfully with a close up of the hanging door knobs.

Another reason why I found the start of the film memorable was when joon rang Benny whilst he was working at his car clinic. The

It’s not a perfect film, but the opening certainly is. The film from minute one seems less concerned with actually being scary in the sense that it’s trailers reveal, but more scary in the sense that it wants people to consider how terribly materialistic they are around this time of year. It’s the type of film that will let little things like a christmas tree catching on fire seem to hit so hard, but then turn around and leave you asking “Why…

Well, you know, I bounced around into lots of different areas. Social media is interesting 'cause as much as it has brought us together, it's also driven us apart. The good part is I have connected with a lot of people. I've not reconnected with Katy. I don't envision that happening any time soon. She's on a different level now to get a hold of. Did you ever know KC and the Sunshine…

I liked how Greg was talking to the audience. Normally, movies are like watching someone else’s life. In this movie, Greg was talking the audience through his life, as if they were there. I also enjoyed how the movie was shown as a documentary, but not about history. The movie was separated into “parts,” based on the way Greg viewed his life experiences. This is an excellent aspect of the film because it was entertaining to see how Greg viewed things in his eyes, rather than watch a movie about somebody’s life.…

There is one thing I like in this movie, Trick math and card counting was one of the fascinating thing in the movie and the introduction of the principle of variable change (The Monty hall problem and conditional probability). A game show host tells a contestant to choose between three doors. Two doors have a goat behind them…and the other has a brand new car. He tells the contestant to choose a door. The contestant chooses door #1. Then, the host, knowing what is behind each door, reveals what is behind door #3-a goat. He then asks the contestant if he would like to change his choice or stick with door #1.…

The following objects represent the symbolism within the title sequence at the beginning of the movie: a drawing of a bird, a harmonica, a pocket watch, a pearl necklace, marbles, and a whistle and this title sequence is from a child’s perspective. The title sequence helps to introduce the story’s symbolism and themes for the audience by focusing on the child’s perspective on life. It does so by having the camera move in, like a child's vision, to close-ups of the various objects, moving from left to right along the row of treasures arranged on the table. There is also a mysterious music and humming of a child to create a mood for the audience. The movie presents these objects from unfamiliar angles, allowing the viewer to rediscover…
