Analysis: I Am Not Bounde
"I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I am not bound to succeed, but I am bound to live up to what light I have" (Lincoln). This quote is an excellent quote. This quote means you would be yourself rather than someone you arent. It also means you should live your life not someone else's. In part of Lincolns famous quote he says,”I am bound to be what light I have.” This quote means to be who you are rather than who you aren't. It means to be normal and not build yourself up to be something your not. The quote means that you have to live up to who you are. For example, don't try to fit in with people you don't like just to make yourself look cool or better than you were before. Its better to just be yourself and let people like …show more content…
Whether it be sports, work, or just life in general. Lincoln says this by saying,”I am not bound to win, but i am bound to be true.” It means you should be fair and don't give excuses to lose if you do. For example, lets say you lose on a last second play and its your fault. Instead on complaining and rambling on about how its not your fault step up and say it was my fault. There's no point in making an excuse to make yourself look better, in fact, usually it makes you look worse than before.
This quote also means to live life to its fullest. Don't let little things ruin whats important to you like someone telling you that you should quit. Instead when someone says that you should take it as a challenge and step up and work your way to getting better at it. You should let it motivate you and try to make yourself better and push yourself to limits you never thought you were capable of doing. "I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I am not bound to succeed, but I am bound to live up to what light I have" (Lincoln). There are many lessons that can be learned from this quote. One is to be who you are and don’t let other people change who you are. Another is to be fair and own up to your mistakes and don’t push it onto someone lese to make yourself look better. The last thing that can be learned from this quote is to live your own life to the fullest and work hard at getting better at things you want to

The quote I have chosen is, “Success consists of going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm”. This is one of Winston Churchill's most well known quotes. This quote was said during his reign as the Prime Minister of Great Britain. It is unknown as to where this quote came from but I found it to be very captivating. I feel like Churchill is trying to get the point across that in life it is normal to not be perfect. Everyone makes mistakes and each failure shapes you as a person. Churchill is saying that if you put your mistakes in the past without changing who you are, it makes you stronger and more successful than someone who fails to do so. Being afraid of failure gets you nowhere in life so Churchill is stating that everyone should strive with great enthusiasm in order to be their best self.…

Life is all about being happy. Being yourself and having fun, but also being wise and smart person and making right decisions are good structures a person can have. A perfect example of somebody that relates to this quote is Oprah Winfery. Oprah not only is a wise human being, who loves to help people, but she also loves to have fun, let loose, and just forget about her life for a little and just be herself. Oprah is honestly an admiration. She is a strong women who is willing to help any person in need. She may have everything handed to her, but she had to work for what she has now. Not only does letting loose sometimes make you a happier person, but it can also make you a wiser person because the people that aren't happy in life, are always the miserable ones. Being miserable can't make you happy or wise, can it?…

    Never Give Up

The expression “Never give up” means to keep trying and never stop working for your goals. I agree with this statement. I think this statement is true because you can be whatever you want to be, you just have to set your mind to it and work for it. If you work hard enough, you can achieve your goals without a problem. You should commit to achieve your goals no matter how long it takes, even if it takes another 50 years of living until you achieve it. Everything takes time, you just have to be patient. “Winners never quit, and quitters never win.” Vince Lombardi once said. The famous baseball player, Jackie Robinson was not wanted in the baseball league, but played anyway because he loved the game, no matter how many times they threw the ball at his head or tried to hurt him on the field or even if his teammates didn’t want him on the team, he changed baseball forever Another reason for you to never give up is Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan didn’t even make his high school basketball team. He turned out to be the best basketball player to ever play the game. “I have missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot, and I missed. I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” Michael Jordan said. So yes once again I do think the statement is true because you can be whatever you set your mind to…

    Trying To Master

In life trying to master something does not just come out of no where. You actually have to try to get there and grow as a person with going beyond what you have already done. I do agree with this quote. To me growing as a person would be doing what you do best but bigger and better than before. Mastering something only makes you grow it would never bring you down as a person. The only way I can and will grow as a person is if I master my fear of being who I am. For example, I take what other people say to me serious and it only brings me down. To better my self i need to master my fear of taking what other people say about me and just build confidence and grow. Taking the opinion of others into consideration will not let me become…

    Life Lessons, Never Quit

The main lesson I use all the time is to never be a quitter. Being a quitter can be much worse than losing, it’s even worse than being a loser. Would you want to be called a quitter your whole life? To me, I would rather take extra time trying to get it done, than be a quitter. If you quit one thing, then some will most likely quit about every time a roadblock is in your way.…

“ When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on to it.” This famous quote by Franklin D. Roosevelt gives me strength every time I think of giving up and running away. This quote reminds me that I am not a quitter; I am a winner. I had to face several challenges in my life. Whether it was learning to ride my first bicycle, passing my S.L.C examination, or working my first job. I was tired and upset, but I never gave up.…
