1. INTRODUCTION, AIM AND OBJECTIVE
This research task focuses on the difference in security of the places of residence: Eagle Canyon vs. Douglasdale.

The Aim of this investigation is to prove that a private estate’s security would be better than a regular suburb.

The Objective of this research task is to ask 5 residents of each place of residence the following questions:
• Do you pay the estate or municipality for the security you are provided with?
• How many robberies have occurred in the past year?
• Are you satisfied with the actual patrolling and crime precaution that is occurring?
• What can the security improve on?
I myself will go and conduct a physical research assessment, searching for and analysing security

Eagle Canyon Security, is run by a 2 private companies. One controlling the physical security, such as patrolling and immediate reaction to any occurrence of even a hint of crime. The other company is responsible for the technical security such as CCTV camera equipment and speed radar for monitoring the speed of vehicles within the estate to prevent vehicle accidents or run over pedestrians.

• Image 1: Heavy Patrol Vehicles are provided and are on patrol 24 hours of the day 7 days of the week. These Vehicles are equipped with all necessary equipment to stop and detain a suspect as well as to help prevent incidents like fires for example
• Image 2: Boom Gates are positioned all over the estate to ensure prevention of intruders. Each Boom has a LED light strip that is red when lowered and green when raised to improve safety and reduce accidents at night. For access through the booms a resident will obtain an access card that once scanned allows the holder to pass through. • Image 4: The Main entrance of Eagle Canyon has incredibly tight security at its entrances. It has a 2 boom entrance, residents have access cards or us their finger prints for access. If you are a visitor, you have to go to the visitor’s lane, where the security scans your car license for fines and driver’s license for validity of driving
