Subject: reply about issues between anaesthesia and paediatric department
Initially, I disagree with the written title, and I hoped it ( Optimizing and upgrading the level of cooperation between paediatric and anaesthesia departments) as we are already cooperative and back up for any required help all the time for our patients and colleauges either paediatric or any other departments. This double edged cooperation, no doubt will be impacted positively on patients keeping their safety as a practical concept not just a ward or a slogan.
Here I would like to highlight some facts.
1- Paediatric anaesthesia service In sohar Hospital ( neonates up to 1 year age) was not supplied in from 1997 till 2012), hence
16-Leaving ICU unattended is not uncommon which is related to some logistics, and is happening many times for many ward related issues, either adult ICU or PICU and this s a known fact, which we try to avoid it .In RH e.g there two ICU on call one all the time inside the adult ICUI and another one for ward critical cases or RR
