An Ideal College. Essay
Below is a free essay on "My Ideal College" from Anti Essays, your source for free research papers, essays, and term paper examples.
Good and impressive buildings, costly equipment and furniture alone do not make a good college. Its goodness lies in its teachers. I will have highly qualified teachers on my staff. They will be given decent salaries. So they will work heart and soul for the welfare of students.

College office will also be made efficient. Clerks will be made to work honestly. No extra work would be taken from them. they will not be allowed to be harsh and discourteous to the students. The college peons also will work only during college hours. No one will be allowed to take private work from them.

In my college, care will also be taken of the character of students. Education will not mean only instructing students. Bookish knowledge alone will not be stuffed into their heads. They will be taught to be sincere and honest in their work and cooperate with others. Efforts will be made to develop them mentally, morally, physically and emotionally. All round development of their personality will be the chief aim of education in my college.

Games and sports will be made compulsory. Arrangement will be made for all the students to take part in them. Sports will be given their due importance. Stress will be laid on Indian games and sports like Kabaddi, Wrestling etc.

College Unions, Scout Clubs, Debating societies, etc., will be organized through elections. Students will elect the office bearers from among themselves. They will, thus, got training in democracy. In fact, the democratic spirit will prevail in the college. But they will not be allowed to misuse their freedom. They will also be taught the value of discipline. They will be required to observe all rules and regulations in the class-room, as well as in the play-ground. Through weekly lectures, they will be warned against involvement in politics, for it comes in the way of their studies.

Hi, I’m Suzzana, I think you know that by now. I’m currently attending Camden County College. I am transferring because as you might know, most community colleges are two year schools. Community College has been great for me. I was never achievement orientated when I was in grade school. I was enrolled in an alternative school since the 8th grade. I was behind in my academics, but I would like to say I compensate in life experience. When I was younger around the age of 9 I was bullied a lot. I was chubby and I increasingly gained weight at that time. My influx of weight was the baggage of my emotions and my families struggles. My parents divorced when I was 10, my mom was escorted out by police. I only had my dad for a year. Then, I had missed…

When I first arrived at ODU I was excited; excited to start someplace new. I can’t really say I was nervous because I wasn’t. College is just more schooling, just like high school. Compared to my first few weeks my stress level is the same. I don’t tend to get too flustered about anything. Also, my class load is pretty light so there isn’t really anything to get stressed about. It’s a good and a bad thing I guess.…

As I sit here writing my first essay for Honors 101, I get to recall my decision making process to supposedly spending the best four years of my life at the University of Mississippi. To be honest, I believe I am very blessed to have an in-state school with the prestige such that of Ole Miss. Among others, a major reason I decided to come to Ole Miss was because of the low cost of tuition due to scholarships in return for a high value of education. From a young age, I have always been fascinated with Ole Miss’s rich history and breathtaking campus. All throughout my adolescence, family members with medical backgrounds have drilled into me to go to UMC to pursue a medical degree after my undergraduate studies. I believe it was part of my plan…
