“Hello” said the young man. This man seemed to be very kind and considerate. “I’m Pluto; the king of the forest. May I ask you what your name is?” “P-Proserpina” I replied hesitantly. “Well then Proserpina, would you consider accompanying me to my castle?” I thought about his request for a moment. My mother did tell me to be careful and the fact that a complete stranger is asking me to go to his castle with is does seem questionable, but he seems like a nice man so I didn’t think the situation would turn sour. To him I said “I would love to accompany you to your castle. I just hope to be back sometime this evening.” “That won’t be an issue” said Pluto.…

It was a normal raining season back in Nigeria, West Africa, known as summer here in the United States. The month was July and a Tuesday night. I had just finished my evening tutorials along with my other siblings. My mother as usual, prepared a very nice meal “pounded yam and egusi soup” for dinner. We all sat down like any other day on the dinning table and savored what my mum cooked. At about 7:15pm on that normal day, my father told my mum he was going out to see his business partner for a brief meeting. On hearing that, myself and my sibling felt happy because his absent will give us a little more play time before going to bed. He then called on my elder brother Kennedy to open the drive way gate, and instructed him to put the lock on the gate behind him. Kennedy hurriedly and happily ran down stairs and did exactly what my dad had told him to do after the latter drove away on one of his then 1989 Peugeot 505 saloon car. The absent of my dad at that late hour of the night was really fun, because it sure did gave us an extra play time. I in particular was playing card with one of my siblings, while my other sibling and my mother were watching a late night movie on the television. These indeed, were all normal as it conforms to our daily personal and family routine, good or bad.…
