Eventually, school takes over most of our time and we wouldn’t have the same amount of freedom as we do over the summer. I was definitely upset when summer ended early for us this year. Steve Lawhead also starts to talk about the conflict of starting a new school year. Lots of things can happen over summer and that can be hard. I would say I feel hesitant starting this school year, mainly because I don’t come in from any of the feeding schools, therefore I don’t know many people. I can relate to the speaker’s nervousness in the poem.
