America's Greatest Accomplishments
Only a scare amount of people are destined to be the President of the United States, to be astronauts, to be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, or to find a cure for a terminal disease. All of us are capable of significant accomplishments and achievements throughout each of our lives. As Mother Teresa or St. Teresa of Calcutta states this quote, “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love,” it signifies extreme importance through society in which people accomplish things rather large or small; love is always present during the accomplishments not matter the size of the achievement. Not everyone is exposed, or afforded, the opportunity to do great things; whether fame, money, or motivation tend to get in the

After a countless number of wars, the United States of America continues to progress throughout time. No revolutionary, civil, or world war can penetrate deep enough into America’s heart. What could possibly be the answer to America's success? Is it the estimated eight thousand nuclear warheads the United States carries in its arsenal? Or is it the American diet (full of Whoppers and Big Macs) that provides the nutrients to power our soldiers? Neither of these are the reason for America’s constant improvement. The truth to America’s success is through acts of terrorism.…

America has many outstanding qualities which allow us to have many freedoms. I think that America’s gift to my generation is to get back a strong work ethic and pride. Many people like to play yet expect someone to support them. We need to get back to the ways that my grandparents and great-parents were raised where you had to work hard, do without many times and earn your way through life. They took great pride in their work and always tried to do their best at everything. They either worked hard or did without. They didn’t complain about not having things. If they couldn’t afford them, then they didn’t get them. Whereas, in society today, many people expect things to be given to them without putting forth the hard work. I would like to see…

Many people go after success in the wrong way. They are motivated by the desire to achieve fame and fortune. They believe the world owes them something. They see success as clout and leverage--something that emanates from the outside rather than from within. Such was the case with Joe, a sales consultant, before he learned the secret of he Five Laws of Stratospheric Success.…

In our society today, mainstream media have successfully convinced many of us into accepting a false and morally meaningless definition of success. Sellers want us to believe that receiving an enormous paycheck, living in a luxurious house, and owning all of the latest equipment is the key to happiness and success. In real life, we all know there comes a lot more to being a truly successful individual. True success necessitates esteem, gratitude, honesty, patience, and persistence. All of these necessities to becoming successful are not traits we are born with, but things we strive to attain while becoming the best that we can be.…

Since our birth, we are encouraged to go forward, to reach farther and to shoot for higher goals in life. In the words of Donald Trump: “Get going. Move forward. Aim High. Plan a takeoff.” But, are ambition and pursuit for success turning into an obsession nowadays? The authors Lotte Bailyn, Karen Heller and William Zinsser agree that they are, and unfortunately, I have to endorse their idea.…

Why Do We Have To Die?

I realized that through assiduous toil, I can make myself special and known in this world. Life was too short and dear, and to leave this world unknown to others, just an ordinary man that lived his life was not an option that I was willing to accept. I did not want to have the same job as others, the same insipid family as others, the same dull lifestyle as others, and the same death as others. “No,” I said. I won’t die in this world without my name engraved in people’s soul, without my thoughts and ideas influencing many generations to come. I will be special through hard work and achieve glory and success. With success, I will spread my fame throughout many generations to come. I will be remembered. My ideas will be discussed and debated among others. My thoughts will be used as a tool for motivating young minds. I will be a role model and a symbol of success. Life is a onetime chance, and I intend to not lose it but use it to my full extent. It is utterly terrifying to live and die like…

Emerson, in his speech to Phi Beta Kappa says -“The one thing, in the world, of value is an active soul.” Emerson infers that success doesn’t come from reading books, but from becoming active. The imaginative genius, Albert Einstein, says in his famous quote that he isn’t a genius. Rather he is a human with an active curiosity. Curiosity is a gift of the soul. Curiosity is the soul saying that it wants to learn how to express itself even more. 2009 Nobel Peace Prize Winner, Barack Obama, tells the world that it isn’t he who has won the prize. He says that all Americans out in the world, who better their society by being actively involved, are the true winners of the prize. A common attribute that all these peoples include contributing to their own success is activeness, activeness through their soul.…
