“Home of the free, because of the brave,” is a quote that I agree with. Without people who sacrifice their lives, we wouldn’t have what we do now. Every single one of those men and women influenced this country is some way. This is America’s gift to my generation. America has gifted us with many occupations and many different choices of homes to live in. Many years ago, 1619 to be exact, was the start of slavery. Slaves had very little amount of freedom, that was probably the freedom to breathe and walk! This went on for many years! Until in 1865, when the 13th amendment was ratified. This lasted 245 years! It took that long for it all to officially end! Now, in modern day USA, we are allowed to apply
