America's Dependence On Drugs
Drugs are all fun and games until someone gets hurt. Right? Isn’t that the way the saying goes? It’s all fun and games, it is all good and dandy, until drugs overtake someones life. When someone is getting pushed down constantly, the solution is not to depend on drugs. The solution is to stand up, be strong, fight for themselves. In life, it is hard to truly block out what other people say. It is truly hard to make themselves feel better when they have felt nothing but the worst. Drugs take them to a place in their minds where they are not focused on what is going on outside of that. There are many things wrong with America. There are things in America that cannot and will not be fixed. The most the people of America can do is try and make a stop to the things they have potential in stopping. Without trying, it will not happen. Of course, America has some work to do. Americas people have some work to do. That does not mean that America cannot be great. America may not be great right now, in this day and age, but it can be. America has progress to make, without the people, America cannot progress. America needs support just like the people of America need support. Everyone has to become one. Everyone has to get along. Without getting along America will remain how it stands now— out of shape, alone, and with no room to look up. It is truly amazing to look at America. After all these years of trying to make America better, and creating a beautiful America, the country still is not there. The country still has all of this progress to make and all of these problems to fix. Who knows if America will ever really be great? In the article, “Losing the American Dream of Progress: Getting Fired at Midlife” (Gullette, 2011), it talks about how life needs to run its course. In the future, it will all be different.
