“Al-Shaitan”
“The American Sniper” by Chris Kyle is an account of the deadliest American sniper ever, called “the devil” by the enemies he hunted and “the legend” by his Navy SEAL brothers. From 1999 to 2009, U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle recorded the most career sniper kills in United States military history. The Pentagon has officially confirmed more than 150 of Kyle's kills (the previous American record was 109). Iraqi insurgents feared Kyle so much they named him al-Shaitan (“the devil”) and placed a bounty on his head. Kyle earned legendary status among his fellow SEALS, Marines, and U.S. Army soldiers, whom he protected with deadly accuracy from rooftops and stealth positions. Kyle presents the gripping and unforgettable accounts of his extraordinary battlefield experiences through paper and pen and now ranks to many people as one of the greatest war memoirs of all time but to few a man representing immorality and death. Chris Kyle was a native Texan, born in Odessa, Texas, and was the son of a Sunday school teacher and a deacon. Kyle started his passion for shooting after his father bought him his first gun at 8 years old, a bolt-action .30-06 Springfield rifle. Later on and after school, Kyle became a professional bronco rodeo rider, but his profession ended abruptly when he severely injured his arm. After his arm healed, he went to a military recruiting office, interested in joining the United States Marine Corps (USMC). A Navy recruiter told him about the Navy SEALS. Kyle signed up, but was rejected because of the pins in his arm. A little while later, he received a call and he had the chance to go to BUD/S (Basic Underwater Demolition SEAL school), and finally joining the United States Navy in 1999. After 9/11, he was thrust onto the front lines of the War on Terror, and soon found his calling as a world-class sniper who performed best under fire. In comparison no military organization could operate if it respected human moral independence, that is, the

Movie Review: Black Hawk Down I selected the movie Black Hawk Down, because I really respect the soldiers who fight to keep all of us safe. Also, my mother told me that she had a personal connection with this movie because her mentor's son was one of the Army Rangers that participated in this battle. On October 3, 1993, a group of U.S. Elite Forces consisting of more than 100 Delta Force soldiers and Army Rangers, who were part of a larger United Nations peacekeeping force, were dropped into civil war-torn Mogadishu, Somalia. They are there in an effort to capture local crime lord Mohamed Farah Aidid's top lieutenants and Aidid himself if possible. The day was anything but routine in the opening salvo against an enemy we did not recognize: Al-Qaeda.…

American Sniper The title alone sums the movie up perfectly and drawing out all suspicion or notions that this is not just some war movie, instead more of noble story of America's own navy SEAL Chris Kyle and one of the us military's most deadly sniper with a confirmed kill count of 160 souls and over 200 claimed kills . He also holds a marksman title for 2100 yard confirmed kill ,that is essentially shooting a man from over 21 football fields away and much like the life of the great hero we enter a crucial scene in the beginning of the film with a scenario just like that famous shot only slightly closer.…

Wars can either tear friends and family apart or bring them close together. In “The Sniper” by Liam O’Flaherty, the sniper faces a surprise after deciding to go look at the enemy sniper. In “Cranes” by Hwang Sunwon, Songsam takes Tokchae to get killed and towards the end, he frees Tokchae. The theme is the central idea or insight about life that a story reveals. The theme of “The Sniper” is that war separates families; the theme of “Cranes” is that war cannot tear friendships apart. These two themes have differences and similarities.…

Clint Eastwood makes American sniper the number seven on my top favorite movies. I think the story of Chris Kyle is the most powerful U.S military story I ever read and seen. This movie's about a Texas man who always dreamed of becoming a cowboy and got bored and wanted to join the fight against terrorism. He goes to Iraq and saves US lives with his dangerous accuracy. I think this movie was one of the best military movies ever watch. This movie made me think of All the vets and people in our army defend us every single day. I think the way that the director shut this movie was great. When Chris Kyle had his mark on the little kind with the RPG,ci think the director wanted us the feel the same suspense that he did. He put is in the scope with…

Zack Pramenko In the thriller Eagle Eye, two stranger’s lives are intertwined by a mysterious, female telephone caller. Jerry Shaw (LaBeouf) returns to his apartment one day to find he has received weapons, ammonium nitrate, classified DOD documents, and forged passports. Later, Jerry receives a strange phone call that informs him that the FBI is on the way and that he needs to flee, but he refuses and is arrested. Rachel Holloman’s (Monaghan) son’s life is soon later threatened by the caller, forcing her to assist Jerry Shaw in his escape from the FBI and other mysterious deeds demanded by the caller. American Sniper Review Stuart Staples American Sniper depicts a legendary war hero, Navy SEAL Chris Kyle. Kyle was one of the deadliest snipers in modern war history, some say in our entire history, but that is left to speculation. Bradley Cooper stars as Chris Kyle in the movie. The role that Cooper plays is one for the ages. Cooper shows how down to earth Kyle really was and how much of a patriot Kyle was to our beloved country. There are so many “real” parts in the movie, but like most movies there are some flaws to go along with it. Without really destroying the movie details, some of these flaws include: Kyle using the satellite phone to make personal calls and while in the middle of a battle, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, PTSD, not being mentioned enough, and Kyle leaving his over-watch position to clear buildings with the Marines.…
